I wouldn't say 'so' good, just that he's not an out and out dud.

An effective midfielder that plays as a DM but is good on the ball and happy to look to move it forward rather than just offload it and hang back. Used to be very good at supporting the CBs and making himself available. Good under pressure, doesn't cough it up. Calm. Basically, a better version of Hojberg.

That said, I saw him play a couple of times last season and he was awful.

As others have suggested though, sounds like he might be a complete tit, so not the best for team morale.

Another strange signing for UTD as they'll likely end up paying him around 200k plus a week and not be able to sell him.

So distinctinly ordinary then, suppose Utd need someone to come in and control midfield but not someone who comes as much baggage as he does.

Beggars belief.

Can you imagine any of their previous five managers going anywhere near that player?

I think Paratici will get this over the line.

Conte would like a quality player to slot into the right hand side, and with Richarlison predominantly a player (who at Everton) was played either on the left or central (only a couple of games where Kulu plays) Conte see's this as an essential signing.

I read this morning that an offer of forty odd million has been rejected, so i think Paratici will go all in this week at some point.

Definitely see this getting done sooner or later, tremendous talent.
I'd love it, think he's about to have a real breakout season. Have a feeling he'd end up a better signing than Richarlison tbh. And would push Lucas that bit further down the queue.

Man Utd have lost their shit. They finally get shot of some of the arrogant wasters in Lingard and Pogba and now they are over a barrell on Ronaldo and want to sign Rabiot and Arnautovic? Ten Hag should do a 2014 Poch, bin the wasters, draft in pliable youngsters and build from there. Still sod em, its one less team to worry about.

A moody Rabiot & an ageing prima donna Arnautovic feel like the kind of semi-desperate transfers we'd have done a few years ago.

Instead, in those positions, we've signed PL-proven dominant CM Bissouma, and PL-proven Brazilian forward Richarlison, both 25 & coming into their prime.

There are no guarantees in football. But I'd 100% rather have our squad, our signings and our head coach than yanited's existing rabble, their prospective new recruits and ETH.

Tottenham are mapping out a plan to make Destiny Udogie their seventh summer signing.

The Udinese left-back, who was personally recommended by manager Antonio Conte, is expected to join in a deal worth around £21million before spending the season back on loan at the Serie A club.

It is the same agreement which last summer saw Spurs beat a number of rivals to the signing of the much-coveted Pape Matar Sarr. The midfielder stayed at Metz last season and is now looking to impress Conte.

Standard Sport understands Spurs do not plan on bringing Udogie to their Hotspur Way base to conclude a deal, rather seeing the player agree personal terms on a long-term contract before undergoing a medical in Italy.

Tottenham managing director of football Fabio Paratici has good knowledge of the Italian market and Udogie is seen as a young player with big potential.

Fellow left-back Ryan Sessegnon on Saturday scored his first goal for Spurs as Southampton were thumped 4-1 on the opening weekend of the Premier League season. Summer signing Ivan Perisic, also a left-back, made his competitive debut for the club later in the game.

Sergio Reguilon, another left-back, is surplus to requirements and has been told he can leave Tottenham before the transfer deadline.

By all accounts Ten Hag wants them

Poch would have been much better for their rebuild, he would have got rid of all the arseholes but he's a bottler apparantely and not in fashion so...

Only issue is would he be allowed to get rid of them. There seems to be a pattern of United managers coming in, wanting players out, nothing happening then getting sacked. Backing the managers seems like a alien concept to the Glazers.

Yep. Poch would have been perfect for them and vice versa. Lowered expectations, some decentish youngsters with some good players who need a kick up the arse because they're just going through the motions due to mismanagement. Similarities to when he joined us.

I was going to suggest that Spurs go for Jan Oblak next summer when his present contract expires....only to find out that he's extending his contract until 2025  So Spurs may as well listen to Brad and keep Lloris until he's 40...

Jan Oblak has agreed a new deal with Atletico Madrid that will keep him in the Spanish capital until the summer of 2025 according to Fabrizio Romano. The 29-year-old’s previous deal had been set to expire at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Yep.
Pogba. Ronaldo. Ibrahimavic.
They like a "star player" and think they're able to be bigger than the name.

Rabiot isn't a "star".......

He had the potential to become a very good player, but his baggage got in the way of his development and he got pre-occupied with big clubs and big wages rather than regular football......

Now all that's left is a toublesome player who failed live up to the hype; that is now 27 and has been treading water for much of his career.

His successor should be our priority next summer imo.

True, would have backed him to do a rebuild over Ten Hag, at least he's proven in this league.
