Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I can't believe that Spurs are not after Slonina. I "recommend" him last summer, and then half a year later Chelski had a deal with him that got scuppered due to the sanctions.

Is it just me or are these kind of underwhelming signings for City?

I suppose they are bringing in Haaland & Alverez so fair play etc but these 2 aren't upgrades

They are both excellent, the Brighton LB is a superb player and Phillips provides energy

I want Djed Spence now just to piss off those Nottingham Forest fans. Wankers!!! Wound me up seeing bitter Forest fans comment about how bigger they are than Spurs 🤦‍♂️ You have been promoted for 5 mins you cunts, show some respect. Hope they get relegated now. Don’t get why so many supporters feel the need to cunt off our club all the time?
We do a fair bit of it ourselves to be honest....

This is a scenario that can spoil the Bastoni deal:

Chelski loans Lukaku to Inter (maybe with a buy-option of, say £40m+, with a generous installment deal), whilst buying Martinez for around £70m.
Inter can then sell de Vrij (maybe around £15-20m), buy Bremer (for around £30m) and sign Dybala and then afford to keep Bastoni.
Doesn't that leave them with a bigger wage bill and reliant on de Vrij accepting a move?

So from Bastoni to... Lenglet 😁
If true then it's good news for Ben Davies ;)

I would not be opposed to loan deal of Lenglet at all...
It does not mean it would be our only singing. Look at what Gold and co are telling about our summer plans - we need more depth in defense to be competitive on all fronts.

And we will see Rodon leaving for sure. So if we let Rodon go and bring in Lenglet as replacement - what would be harm in that?
It does not mean we will not sign another top defender as addition to that.

Man City want to mop up or any potential upgrades for any other PL team that might challenge them - stifling competition

Its their modus operandi - similar to Chelsea mopping up as many youth as possible before spitting them out again a couple of years later !

Yes and keep powder dry for the player we really want or spend more ambitiously on other areas now.

The LB spot has been a weakness in Man City defense for a while now. Yes, Cancelo has done well at the LB spot but he's a right-footer who's not feeling at home there, so Cucurella could be a major upgrade. City are losing Fernadinho so Phillips is a good replacement, and he's familiar with the EPL, of course, so Pep can rest 1 of his other CMF for CL games (winning the CL will be the main target next year I would presume).

Lenglet can also play as CCB and was seen as a top prospect when Barca signed, so getting on loan as an understudy may not be a bad deal.

I mean if it is a loan deal and even if it flops, it is not that awful really.
We have very good LCB in Davies, it's not like we are replacing someone shockingly bad with this move.

If we were to offer flat out 25 mil for Lenglet or something - than I would be alarmed.
But if he comes on loan and he stinks, we can flog him back.

Then we just buy De Vrij who is still an upgrade and get best young LCB we can and give Davis who has been excellent for us another year in the lead seat.

Him too.

Obviously a different sport but this god damn super villain as well.

Who's that...?

I’m somewhat surprised at the minimal number of names we’ve been connected with in the press.

Considering the 150m cash injection and the public knowledge that Conte wants quite a few players, I thought we’d be connected to everyone under the sun. But it’s been pretty restrained so far.

I take that as a good sign that Paratici and Conte are focused on priority players and that we’re not leaking like a sieve behind the scenes. It’s still early though I guess.
