Not sure any of them are the answer, it's hard role to buy. My guess is we'll make do with a Bentancur/Bissouma combo for another year and maybe try and bring in a young English player like Gray or Hayden Hackney we can try and develop for the role.

He's an asset which could attract decent value.

No point having him sit around for a season and never play. He's not well suited to Ange-ball.

Take the money and put it towards a LCB/LB that will be a proper rotation option.

The other factor is, if & when Gray does want to get out of Brentford it'll be a heck of a lot easier for him than if Bergvall wants to move up from Spurs. Brentford sell for profit, Levy holds onto his assets for dear life.

Correct. Just explains why some players might want to pick a Palace or Brentford over us, especially if they're confident about their ability. Bellingham picked Dortmund over a host of bigger clubs precisely because he know they'd let him go for the right price.
