Bit of a shit show no doubt about it.

Let's not forget we gave a lot on Wednesday in a very tough game.
Let's also not forget that Swansea played some of the most anti-football I've ever seen. I'm getting sick of paying good money to watch a game of football but only one team has any intention of playing football. What a boring bunch of fucks they are.
Mike dean was never going to give a pen today as he's been critised for helping us in the past. At least one was stonewall.

Team was set up wrong today but we still had enough to beat that shower of shit. One goal would have lead to a few more.

Had to have a read of the match comments from here on the train and had a few shakes of the head.
Not because of the comments about the game, most were justified.
What fucks me off the most is when people comment on how embarrassing our fans are.
" look at all the empty seats, it's embarrassing" - Well buy a fucking ticket and occupy one of those empty seats.

" Our fans are so quiet it's embarrassing" well go and buy yourselves a ticket and come to the game and sing your heart out and show us how it's fucking done.

" fans leaving early is embarrassing" - Well go and buy yourself a ticket, sing your heart out and stay till the fucking end.
Don't slag off those who go and support the team.
There were 66k there today, don't forget our railway stations are on critical alert and another terrorist attack is imminent.
Takes bottle for people to get on a train knowing their lives could be in danger.

Our support is not embarrassing it's top notch, we are in a temporary stadium and not many have taken to it but still turn out every week.

I'm not one of these people who thinks I'm a better fan because I go to games but it does boil my piss when people watching the game on some shit Iranian stream critises the fans that spend a fortune following our club.

Not really. The way I look at it, it's pretty unlikely they'd happen to target one of our matches. Even if they did, it's unlikely they'd actually get into the ground with a bomb, especially given the fact they're likely being monitored by now. Even if THAT happened, there's little reason to think they can successfully detonate an explosive when they failed to yesterday. And even if the worst happened, the bomb goes off, and 25 people die - more than at the Manchester Arena attack - your odds of being one of those 25 in a 70k crowd are one in 2,800. At the end of the day changing our lifestyles is exactly what that lot want to achieve, and there's no rational reason to do so - despite the threat and of course the need to be vigilant, you'd have to be incredibly, incredibly unlucky to actually meet your end at the hands of a terrorist in the west. It's not worth changing your plans over.
You're more likely to be killed by one of Sissoko's shots.

I'd be tempted to give KWP some game time this weekend on the left back. We know he can play on both sides and Swansea is a team he should be able to handle. Undecided on if I'd have him start or if I'd put in on in the second half to give Davies some much deserved rest
I understand the expectation that we'll beat Swansea, even with a weakened side, but I'd really like us not to be complacent here. Field the strongest squad available, build momentum and ensure even the most ardent haters don't have a dumbed-down form of the Wembley curse to cling to.

We can give some of the squad players a run out against Barnsley in the mid-week fixture.

Studying in London till December. This will be my first ever Tottenham game. I'll be in area 501, way up at the top haha. Can't fucking wait for this.

Lloris
Aldwerweirld - Sanchez - Vertonghen
Trippier - Dier - Winks - Davies
Dele - Eriksen
Kane

Christ, some of the melting within seconds, you'd think Poch was the worst manager in the world and we were utterly atrocious today. In reality we battered them for most of the game and just couldn't break through and get a stroke of luck. Sometimes that happens in football. Last year we got lucky sometimes. I think people forget that. Sometimes it will be the other way.

As for title challenges, who actually thought we would win the title this year? We are in a temporary home with a new stadium to get used to next year. People need to measure their expectations. Top four is a good year and we played sufficiently well in all three of our home games that such a finish is by no means out of sight. So far our away form has been excellent, something people are also forgetting.

I knew i'd seen this Spurs somewhere before.
A lot of farting about.
No goals.
Occasional fuck-up to snatch defeat from possible victory.
Refs playing as a 12th man for the opposition.

I don't think I can stomach that again.

This cheese room better be fucking epic!! :)
This time last year PL points - 9. This year - 8 points. This time last year CL points - 0. CL points this year - 3.
Total cumulative points from games played this time last year - 9
Total cumulative points from games played same time this year - 11
Form of Sissoko improving.
Dele Alli has scored twice.
Kane is scoring again after quiet August, just like last year.
Aurier and Sanchez hitting the ground running. Squad otherwise strengthened. Janssen upgraded.
All while having to get used to a new ground.

But, accordingly to this thread:-

1) Wembley has cursed our season and we'll always be shit there.
2) We are incapable of having a better away record this year
3) Poch's tactics are shit
4) We are no better than under AVB
5) Dele Alli is total garbage and should be binned
6) We haven't signed the players we need
7) We're useless in midfield
8) Our season is basically fucked already and our form is terrible.

I mean jesus, people need to get a fucking grip. We're only a month into the season for heaven's sake.

Dembele shouldn't be near the pitch after tonight. Looked tired and playing again on Saturday wouldn't be smart.

Already knackered wanyama by playing him when obviously unfit. Let's hope the coaching staff have learnt a lesson.

Winks, sissoko, Dele. All will be fresher, and I would say winks arguably needs to start against one of the lesser physical sides in the league.

Anybody a little worried about the terrorist from today still on the loose? Little worried attending tomorrow,..
Not really. The way I look at it, it's pretty unlikely they'd happen to target one of our matches. Now we beat Dortmund i see that the BBC have downgraded the Wembley curse to the Premier League Wembley curse. :deledoubt:

Let's put 3 or 4 past the swans and shut these fuckers up once and for all.

Why we needed to rest Davies against Swansea when we're playing Barnsley or whatever they are during the week is ridiculous. Having Trippier and Son at LWB is just stupid what a waste, no more Trippier over Aurier anymore either. Bad team selection today and it cost us.

Awful.

Shambolic to start with our best full backs on the bench.
Why start with a goal threat at wing back?
Why then go and take that goal threat off when he was probably our best player?

Just mind numbingly stupid today.

West Ham next. At least it's a fucking away game.

I'm gonna get a bashing for this, but most of Poch's experiments are a disaster.

He's played Son at LWB before and he was awful and gave away a penalty. Did he learn his lesson? No, let's do it again. Son played well, but he played well in spite of this tactical decision, not because of it.

Whenever Poch needs to influence a game and change it from the bench he can't.

Trippier at LWB and Sissoko at RWB is flat out embarrassing. Should have simply moved Jan to LB and played with a back 4.

Like I said earlier, the tactical decisions here were absolutely shocking, from the starting line up, to the half time changes, to the lack of crosses coming in once Llorente came on the pitch, to the subs. Poch had a shocker today and the team didn't help him either.

Yeah. People forget that we actually had a bit of a dry patch early last season. We're already up to fifth, one point on fourth. The doommongering is ridiculous. If we get to ten games and we are doing noticeably poorer then I can understand.

Wembley loses us home advantage I don't care what anyone says. If anything it is a disadvantage because we have teams upping their game to play there. Anyone that honestly thinks we'd have had the same kind of game in this one, Chelsea and Burnley if it was at White Hart Lane needs their heads tested.

Sadly the club needs to do what the club needs to do. The only hope I have is that the plastic fans who were leaving after 85 minutes genuinely leave my club alone when we move back to N17. You waste my club away!

Of course thing is dropped pts are going to come back and haunt us come may
Shit really? We never knew this.

We are playing in a temporary home. We are playing a season where the two Manc clubs have significantly strengthened, and have to face the same Chelsea squad as last year. We have a huge fixture list. Things are tougher this year and yet we have cumulatively more points from games now than this time last year. I fully agree with you on lost points and, not that you will, but if you look at last season's match threads I would often say after matches how crucial some seemingly "easy" points were. But people still have to manage expectations. We aren't winning the league this year. We may not even get top four due to the huge competition at the top of the table. So if we do get top four and/or a trophy, for me it will be a reasonable season and I can take some joy out of it. Acting like we're fucked five games in means you're going to spend the whole season angry and miserable.

Play our game & we win this quite comfortably, make them do all the running around chasing the ball.

Will there be any post champion league tiredness? I don't know , why are you asking me? I didn't fucking play did I ! It's just question after question with you isn't it!?! Maybe if you read a bit more rather than looking at porn all day you'd have some answers! I'm not a bloody computer am I!?

Go to your room & do your homework.

Whoever we play should be too much for Swansea. I'm okay with Trippier coming back in as I don't feel the need to push Serge Aurier to start 2 games in 1 week without a proper preseason with us. Put Sissoko back in next to Dier to reward him for his acceptable performance last weekend, and protect Dembele. Dele in for Son from the start. Not a knock on Son, great player, but might as well play the fresh, equally dangerous player.

By the time the game hits the 60th minute, there is a good chance we will be firmly in control and can bring on Llorente for 30 minutes for Kane, Winks for Eriksen to save his legs and shut up shop, and then Son for Dele in the final quarter to stretch his legs.

But I'm happy with just about anything at this point as long as we aren't shoehorning players into unnatural positions just to give them game time.
