Great atmosphere tonight. Never seen the ground all white quite like that. The South stand looked fucking immense. That was the first time I’ve sat in the new place and really loved it. Helped by them keeping those three neon advertising bands still with low key colours all night.
You have to say Bodo aren’t a good tesm, especially missing their best player(s) but with that caveat applied, I thought that was a very good team performance. Just the omnipresent lack of attacking quality letting it down.
I’ve only had one live look, but I was quite pleased with how we worked off the ball for most of the game. We seemed to work pretty cohesively and not sporadically.
I thought Bissouma and Bentancur were good and Maddison was great.
Richarlison worked hard for his half, but his final decision exaction was piss poor, Johnson scored and than disappeared. I can only assume he escapes the hook through a combination of unlucky injuries elsewhere that contrived to force other substitutions to be made.
Porro was good. Udogie best game in fucking ages.
I know this team often defends badly, and Ange’s system is defensively defunct, but Lady Luck also chips in her fair share, and we were fucking unlucky to concede from their only shot on target and the only real time they got in our box.
