Match The Bodø Affair: The Mighty Tottenham vs Bodø/Glimt of Nordland - 2000hrs 1st May 2025 - UEFA Europa League Semi Final Leg 1

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A concern with Knudsen is that like with every other manager from lower leagues is that he’s at risk of becoming out of his depth. Cultural differences can also be an obsticle. I rather see him go to a mid-level club before he comes to the PL.
Yeah, not a risk-free appointment I can agree, and probably more suited for clubs like Brighton and Brentford.

Would be super sceptical if it was only based on domestic results, but in this case it's quite the opposite though. He has again and again proven that he could outhink, and his lesser club outplay, more proven clubs, incl PL. ManU was extremely lucky to have the points on Old Trafford in the group stage (3-2*)

According to Norwegian media there are several brittish clubs who consider him for a move now, incl PL-clubs. Most concrete interest now from Leeds

Even though Knutsen himself are normally respectful to other clubs, his honesty combined with self esteem is a breathe of fresh air.

Should definetaly be on our list of candidates if Ange is going, his results now over a long period of time, shows this isn't a fluke. What more is, it would not be a total new direction as Knutsens brand of football is not so far from how we play.

He would also be a good fit from a business perspective for Levy, as he is doing perfect in developing young talent
I see your point, but the constant stick I've seen Ange hit with is that he's never managed in a top league and he doesn't have the know how to. Wouldn't that be the same in this case?

Not saying every manager from a lesser league is going to be the same, but it's a pretty similar situation.

Following Spurs since 1986 has told me that this game tie is far from over, and my own natural instinct is to think that it's going to go to extra time.

Me, for even longer.

I think we know we are better than them
The noise will come from them.

As long as we have 11 players on the pitch we go through.

They won't stop us from scoring, so I can see them winning but not by 3 goals, and I just think we will finish them off, good home record or not.

Last night 4 or 5 would not have been unflattering.

Good stuff from team and even the manager. Job almost done. Three zip and I would be calling it. We dont always get what we want. I think someone might have said that one already.

I would like for next leg to watch anti Angeball.

A good first would be seeing wingers and the striker inverting to the goal keeping position.

An entire game where nobody from ours crosses into their half. Fuck it eight players never even leave our box. Romero total meters gained 20. Shit like that.

We got to get up there and boor these fuckers into submission. Do I want time wasting? Fuck yeah I want it.I want a game that starts Tuesday and finishes early Thursday.

Just get the fuck through is all I ask!

The Bodo players weigh in on our press (they thought that we were ass at it).

Obviously could've done without them scoring but good result. If we can't get through from here, we don't deserve to win anything. Simple as that.

If we get through, any chance someone can pay to get Bruno Fernandes injured for the final? United are ASS without him.

I can't help but think that late goal is going to prove costly. We were superb for an hour but right after the penalty our levels (god our sound like Ange) dropped of a cliff. We were passive in every phase of the game. Yes we had some chances but I just felt it was hard work after the hour mark and because of that the outcome was obvious. Pussy footing around and second best all over the park. 3-1 as a score line is about par. I hope we can put in a shift at theirs and get through but that goal at the end changes the complexion of the game. If they score early, we might become the first thing that's ever melted in the Artic Circle...

I've seen a Utd team blow 3-0 v Cov and VAR chalking off a 4-3 winner by a toenail

As an aside.
I posted elsewhere on here not that long ago our recent record v United.
We have got the upper hand. It’s quite amazing it’s now “lads. It’s United”.

So my opinion is that it won’t be “pressure” that decides this game.

If both teams get there……a lot depends on which Spurs / United players turn up and perform on the night. The respective league positions don’t lie.

I watched the game, read the thread and then went back to check the score.

I swear anyone reading this thread would think that we were the ones who lost 3-1.

Jesus, I'm all for not getting overconfident but the down in the dumps thing because "we only won 3-1"???

We're in a great position and it will be a hard match over there - but what do people expect? This is for a place in a European cup final?

We were a goal down to Ajax heading to their place in 2019!

COYS!

They're right

getting a team press is a real collective thing. A lot of the time we're just a bunch of individuals.

Dom runs his arse off every match and did a really good job of pressing the keeper, but in the 2nd half I was on the side where Tel and Wilson were playing and they were both poor

We so need a good manager and coaching team to make the best of a pretty good squad
