To retain some positivity after a fairly bad week. It could well be a point gained today. There are two great chances ahead for 6 points and every reason to remain optimistic. Yes a draw frustrates, but staring at a defeat at half time and coming away with a decent point is nothing to be ashamed off, regardless of 10 v 11 or a ( rare ) Lloris mistake.

I feel there should be no expecting to beat this lot. They have world class players and are title challengers as are we, a draw is fair enough and credit to our own players for the shift they put in. We won't win the title here, it will be done when we play the likes of Stoke, Chelsea and Liverpool away. I'd take second and wins at Villa & home v Bouremouth. Then, let's see. Leicester ahead anyway today, so we can live without being top for 3 hours, it's where we are in 2 months that matters and we have every reason to be confident

Do they though? Sanchez and Ozil are good but they aren't world class. They wouldn't play for the best teams in the world and that's why they are at Woolwich.

Kane is the closest to World Class on that pitch today.

Yes very but for Woolwich fans.. They weren't expecting what happened.. It was all over the place today before and after the match..police couldn't contain it at all. There was more than usual as ther were a few rumours flying about but it still wasn't enough.
They do it every year, get all gobby and then hide but today there was no hiding place for them.
Yeah one gobby cunt in particular before the game was mouthing off when riding the gauntlet, until the protection got scattered and he found himself getting a few digs.
Oh to be young again.
Felt like we lost this game, which is really saying something about how I now perceive this team. I expect them to win.
It's those cunts who are happy with us letting them off the hook twice this year.

We have no done so great last 2 games, but things ain't too bad. It's going to happen with the squad we have and competing on all fronts.
They are going to be tired or have off days.
Still I am enjoying this season. I didn't expect us to win the league, and I still don't.
There are 2 teams in the top 4 who deserve to win it. Us and LCFC. If I am to be honest, thy may deserve it just a shade more. We have been by far the 2 most organise efficient teams this season.
However, for us to win it with this season, with this new, young, small inexperienced squad would be amazing, and on a shoestring.
Man City and Woolwich just do not deserve it.

Lloris clearly could've done better on that Alexis goal but how many times has he also rescued 3 points for Tottenham ?? Were extremely fortunate to have a world class keeper and has done us proud many more times then not.

I agree. Saved us 2 points v City just a few weeks ago.

It, however, doesn't change the fact he was culpable today.

Lads I've been very optimistic about our chances this year, I've been a right gob shite saying it's ours.

It's gone imo, we've got to win all our games and hope leicster loose 2. It ain't happening imo.

A couple of things to get off my chest...

If you stand behind the escort giving it and then said escort disappears then you deserves everything you get. Different story if you mind your own business and walk up to the ground in said manner.

This is something that has bugged me for years, it seems to me that it's ok for their players to run over and gesture to our crowd whenever it suits, but when we play the filth away and our players try to acknowledge our support or give shirts to kids then the ref, police and their stewards get shitty. I'm glad that cunt Coquelin got sent off cos he really gave it when they scored their first goal. Players whine about the crowd and the fear of getting attacked but they can't have it both ways!

I agree.

My biggest concern right now is keeping our 3pt lead over Woolwich over 9 games.

They still have the quality and they have the experience. And they are jammy as hell.

we played around 4 games in 9 days against tough opposition, the pattern of results given recovery times seems about consistent of what you would expect with a fixture pile. Players need to be rested so they can be mentally sharp. I cant see that happening when we are in the Europa league. Top 4 is a realistic objective

all the players coming out and saying it feels like a loss is a positive for me. That was two points dropped today and I'm glad the players feel as down about it as the fans do.

I am still astonished that Chadli wasn't brought on at 2-1 to seal the win.

Leicester have been getting lucky lately, maybe the luck of champions or maybe it will run out. I personally think they'll bottle it, they'll start to believe and take their eye of the ball.

One point from six is bad. But it's 10 games left and fucking Leicester are leading the way, there are still twists and turns to be had.

Bang average opposition, never felt so comfortable against a Woolwich side. You'd struggle to take one player from their starting 11 today and replace them with one of ours. An out of form Ozil and Sanchez maybe but nothing else to write home about.

All that said it just makes the draw even more disappointing. Even 11 v 11 I never felt we were going to lose today so to go 2-1 up against ten men you expect to see the game out.

I don't think the title race is over yet but Leicester now have a nice little cushion. Anything less than six points against Villa and Bournemouth and I'll concede the title.
At the point where I'd be disappointed if we finished below Woolwich or City though.

Hopefully Leicester slip up somewhere, although the hope is the worst part.

The dust has settled. I've come home from the game. Spent the evening with my 18 month old son (who was wearing his Spurs shirt). I'm sitting in my sofa after having dinner with my mum fo Mother's Day. I'm now sitting here reflecting on today's game. I've watched the Harry goal again. I've watched the Poch interview. I am sitting here so so proud to be a Spurs fan and so proud of our team this season. Seeing that goal go in makes everything worth it. I can't remember celebrating a goal like that. I went with my sister and it's great to share these moments with family.
Yes we didn't hold on to the win. Yes we could have done a few things differently. But I sit here tonight so happy to be a Spurs fan. To share these days with my dad and my sister (who I go to WHL with). My grandad who used to come but died a few years go. My son will be coming with us as a 4th generation spur.
I love this club. This team are going in a great direction. To be even talking about winning the title is amazing. To be favourites against the scum is brilliant. To be travelling to Germany on Thursday is amazing.
I was gutted after the final whistle as everyone was/is. But let's remember what we are achieving.

On a funny note, who was in the Billy Nic this morning??

" Arsene Wenger has a son, has a son, has a son, Arsene Wenger has a son.... Adam Johnson"

" Arsene Wenger has a Dad, has a Dad, has a Dad, Arsene Wenger has a Dad... Jimmy Saville"

Well it was funny a the time..

Gotta admit though--as stressful as today was, this is way more fun than being at 5th-7th in the table like last year. At least we get to talk about possibly WINNING the League which is hasn't been a topic for discussion in March for some time. Doesn't anybody remember when a top 4 finish was the sign of a successful campaign? Some of us would've given our left nut for that kind of finish, and we've pretty much guaranteed that at this point. And all of this with a very young squad and a coach in his second year at the club. Let's see how this plays out--LFC is human, too, and they most likely will be dropping points as well. If not, then they deserve to win the League.
I still remember when finishing in Europa league was considered a good season not too long back

Seriously though , how good is Harry Kane

Can't wait to see him lift silverware in our shirt , hopefully not too long away
