That point puts us back in with a (very slim) chance of catching Chelsea. Unbeaten against the top 2 this season.

That point could be massive boys. If as expected Woolwich win tomorrow, then we only go 4 points behind rather than 5 points had we lost. We beat them in the NL derby it’s only 1 point behind with 2 games to go. We win our last 2, we would only need them to draw one of their remaining 2 rather than lose it had we been 5 points behind after tomorrow. This potentially is massive, as we don’t need to worry so much about goal difference now if it plays out like this. That point has done that.

We wouldn't have needed them to lose it as our GD is far superior plus would be increased if we beat them, but still, a point is better than none.

So at this point the most likely path to 4th is:

- Win all 3 remaining matches (including NLD)
- Woolwich drop 1 point against Leeds, Newcastle, or Everton
- Maintain GD advantage (currently +7)

That point for us tonight means if that scenario played out, we wouldn’t need to worry about GD. So, whilst it’s important to keep it up, it’s not vital now. That scenario plays out and Woolwich draw 1 and lose against us, we finish above them by 1 point

Very very outside chance if Woolwich don't drop any points (apart from to us)...
Chelski losing to both Leeds & Leicester (assuming they obviously beat Watford).
:sonhmm:

Mate, they win 4-0 tomorrow and say 4-0 at Everton who might be safe, it’s neck and neck isn’t it ? So, you can never rule it out mate. Bristol Rovers won 7-0 today bud to get promoted. Never rule it out. The point gives peace of mind potentially

Or 3 draws. Basically they need 4 points from 3 games. Even if that happens we still need to win all of ours.

Confidence-wise that point will do a lot for us.

We’ve gone to one of the toughest places against one of the best teams in the world, put in a solid performance and walked away with a point, unlucky not to win.

Next week we’re playing against a bunch of shitcunts on our turf. Then two clubs who will be playing in the Championship next season.

Fuck what Woolwich do. We need 9 points from our final 3 games. If it’s enough to get Champions League football next year then great. If not, then we hold our heads high after finishing a tough season strongly and prepare for bigger and better things next year.

Yeh you're not wrong I just think it's unlikely, especially as any amount we beat them by counts as double in effect.

Currently we have 7 better GD and I believe we have scored far more goals. If we beat them by 1 goal then it’s a 9 goal difference between us. We need them to drop points in another game regardless of this result. We need to win our other 2 games so that would make an 11 goal swing that they would require from 2 games with us winning out games as well. So that’s 11 goals they’d have to improve their goal difference in 2 games.

If we win our games then goal difference isn’t a factor, so for me a draw doesn’t help us at all.

Edit: I also like to believe we beat Norwich by more than 1 goal as well.
