Inevitable. You can’t concede 20 goals in 5 games in the prem and expect anything else.

He’s flogged his team to death and this is the result. For a precedent see Pochettino 2019.
Unfortunately the tactic is ultimately flawed. If the squad isn’t talented enough to win stuff within a couple of seasons they burn out and look awful.

I think it’s more because they have had some important players injured for a long time and Bielsa never adapted his tactics, he always went and played very open football. It may have worked last season when other teams weren’t giving them much respect, but the second season syndrome has hit them hard.

Is he any good? Haven't followed his career but I believe he was good at Salzburg but poor at Leipzig?
His spell at Leipzig was up and down. Some games they looked great, but some they looked really bad.

Apparently he felt like he wasn't ready to helm the crown jewel in the RB project and that the players were not responsive to his system. They did not want to go back to playing a high pressing classic RB style after having had Nagelsmann's more possession driven football.

That should at least not be an issue at Leeds, since Bielsa already had these guys drilled to press intensely.

Reckon on that basis it's actually a bad mix...... How many of those players are burned out and wanna step back from that style already? .....More of the same doesn't exactly suggest a change in fortunes, but I guess we'll find out.

Dele being a prime example but he did make some excellent passes yesterday

Not really a sacking but couldn't think of anywhere else to put this.

Obviously with Van Gaal's health problems he wasn't going to be Netherlands manager much longer, but Koeman, really? He is easily one of, if not the worst big name managers in Europe IMO.

What's his qualifications other than "I played under Johan Cruyff at Barca"?

He's like the Gary Neville of that Barca "Dream Team" when it comes to being a manager.

He did a pretty good job with Holland in his last stint. They weren't in a good place when he took over but he started to turn them around and got the Barca gig off of what he was doing. The Barca gig was a disaster, how much was down to him or the club being in disarray? He seemed to do a decent job with Southampton but then the Everton job was another disaster. Again, how much of that was down to the club? How things have continued to go downhill at Everton suggest koeman wasn't the biggest problem there.
Perhaps he is best suited to smaller projects. Maybe his big jobs have been poorly timed or poor choices. Far from the best manager out there but definitely not totally shit.

No more Dyche! 😮

Sean Dyche had them punching well above their weight for years with minimal investment. Barely a village side when it comes to support. Some crooked buggers have taken significant money out of the club.
