What next for the man, the legend?
Can't see him getting another PL job.
And I reckon he'd think a Championship job was beneath him.
The difference now is that unlike when he left us, he doesn't have a good win percentage or good record in the transfer market. It all boils down to whether or not the man can eat humble pie and have the sense to start back at the bottom and work his way up.

So he's going to Chelsea?
I'd love. LOVE IT if he went there!

It's the club that is ultimately rotten, Randy Learner and the Board and who they are appointing and trusting.
Collymore wrote this only yesterday about their Director of Football.

BTW - Since this Stats man left Woolwich they have just announced they have re-signed Brady to oversee a their youth set-up.
Aston Villa Football Club
Have waited a couple of days as I'm obviously working at games this weekend but wanted to share some rather interesting insight into the new Director of Football at AVFC, Mr Almstadt.

As I was critical of him last week I feel it's important to flesh out why.

A very, very, very ( yes that's very) knowledgeable person who I trust 100% , who's incredibly well liked and has the inside track at Woolwich told me this.

" Woolwich training ground personnel couldn't believe their luck when Almstadt left Colney, as he was very unwelcome and seen as simply not very good st his job"

" the suggestion was that he was only employed at Woolwich due to his friendship with Ivan Gazidis, and Woolwich staff couldn't believe their luck when Villa gave him Director of Football".
" He was responsible for bringing in Mr Jonke? ( Jonker?) to the Woolwich youth set up, which , from being one of the best in the country is in danger due to his methodology "

"Arsene Wenger , who likes Tim Sherwood had a conversation on Mr Almstadt's arrival at AVFC, where the former told the latter to "be careful"

Personally, I don't care if the man on the moon is at our club as long as they are good at their job, are an industry professional and can offer something in what is turning out to be the latest disaster after 5 seasons of disasters, so hearing from someone I trust that Almstadt hardly came with glowing tributes from
Woolwich staff is deeply troubling and confirms my worst fears, namely our admin from the top is rotten to the core.

Worrying times.

Up the Villa.

Sherwood has such a high opinion of himself that he wouldn't take a lower league club. The way he goes about his business with the old 'heart on his sleeve' cheeky chappy whos not afraid to slam players and speak troooof is pathetic, I cringed after every single game he was in charge of our club-the mans a total embarrassment.

He hasn't been found out because there was nothing to find out and I don't buy that Levy getting him out of the club that way either tbh.
Why couldn't he just have laid him off quietly before he was manager?
Don't buy that at all.

He would've likely been on a different sort of contract, possibly even a regular employment contract. If it wasn't fixed term than the club would've had to show his existing role was no longer needed and not hired a replacement. That contract would've been terminated by consent when Sherwood accepted a fixed term contract. Furthermore, the break clause would significantly reduce any compensation payable (if at all) upon it's activation.

Worth remembering that the contracts for players and coaching staff aren't always the same as those for other employees.

No I know they're not mate but I reckon the clause and short contract was purely because it was less risk if he turned out shit.
He was highly thought of in the club and knew the way the club was ran so I reckon Levy just thought he would take a chance on him and he would be easy to manage tbh.
Only one man knows though really.

Not exactly a surprise but they could have waited a week before dumping him. He is an odious individual and so up his own backside, and deserves everything he's got. Villa have been flirting with relegation for the last three or four seasons, and have been lucky up to now. Unless they get a miracle worker, their luck might just run out.

Doesn't that apply to any manager?

Sherwood says he wouldn't have taken the contract if it was only for six months (I know that's not necessary the best source, but still).

I feel sorry for Tim despite all his faults.

Lost his 3 best players which weren't replaced after saving them last season and reaching FA cup final!

Hope the cunts go down now with the Chavs and Bournemouth!
