Ex-Spurs Player Toby Alderweireld

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You can tell the future? Who will ask for more money? Jan, eriksen, Kane? They all deserve it. Who else? You are just speculating now. We are at a point that is critical in our season and with Toby's contract. So we need to sort it out and make him happy. Simple. Who else is into their last 18 months?? No one!

So we make Toby our highest paid player, the likes of Kane, Lloris, Vertonghen, Eriksen, Dele, Son will also come calling for parity, thus increasing our well structured wage bill by £40-50m money I’m sure the club don’t have whilst trying to carefully balance the books with the stadium build. The sheer ignorance of some fans, just pay the players what they’re worth/buy £50m players, without considering the consequences. These things should be done nearer the end of the season when budgets can be set not in the middle of the season during a important period with games to play.

He will stay because he knows we are progressing well and will win some silver shortly.
We have the best facilities around, shortly new stadium and our guys play for the shirt, that's obvious to other teams fans and they fucking hate it because their players are just greedy bastards.

Let’s hope so. Only thing that supposedly stops our players leaving according to the media is ‘trophies’ and money.

Edit* looks like The Times(the club) are are trolling Toby but releasing articles about new contract negotiations for Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Son.

He’s been injured so it’s obvious again the team as a whole is strong enough to deal with his loss.

So no it’s not simple.

The only reason we are coming to the end is he has not signed what has been offered to him.

Repeatedly on here you see people saying players shouldn’t sign the contract if they are not happy with it.
Well he hasn’t. So a lot of people should be happy about that at least.

It’s pretty obvious the longer this goes on he’s more likely to leave as every week passes he’s effectively lost potential wages.

Like Walker before he’s off. He can triple his money get a signing on fee and we get a transfer fee. It’s how the club works.

Have faith in Sanchez, Foyth and whoever else we buy to be the next Toby and Jan.

Apparently the issue isn't us not being prepared to offer the wages, it's that he keeps on demanding to have a release clause in his contract - we obviously aren't going to treble his wages and set an asking price so he can leave immediately.

Seems like Man United have tapped him up.

Also worth noting that these situations only arise when a player is injured for an extended period, as our bonuses are so good that they aren't 'under paid' as long as they are fit and playing.

Just put a ridiculous Barcelona / Real Madrid style release clause in his contract - £300m and he's yours.

Everyone is a winner. :levylol:

Toby’s just had 4 months of injury lay off he showed v Rochdale he’s not ready to start big games. He’s rusty and unfit people are making mountains out of Molehills ATM
He played against Newport then left out of the squad for CL tie against Juve and played against Rochdale few days later. We will see how the next 4 games go, he has a "small injury" so again out of a PL game against Palace then cup game followed by Huddersfield and Juve. We shall see.

I trust Poch 100% as far as motivating and managing the players at his disposal. He is the best manager in the world. But like any manager he will choose his words carefully and economically. Im sure he'd rather have a fit and happy Toby on a new long term contract than see him sold for whatever his buy out clause is.
But ultimately, it wont be his decision. And that's a worry. If he's forced to keep replacing world class talents with world class prospects because thats what our wage structure dictates he'll probably never win the silverware he deserves with us.

We really don’t want to see Toby sold, him and Jan are easily the best CB paring in Europe, maybe even the world, but ultimately I think the decision lies with Poch if he is sold, I don’t think levy would sell him unless Poch agrees.
Any how this is all bollox, there will be a lot more of it before the summer is here, no one wants to see Toby go, but if he wants out there is nothing we can do, maybe it’s about wages, maybe he wants to have the end of his career in the sun, who knows really, but it’s good to see we have prepared for this in signing Sanchez, and having foyth on the conveyer belt ready!

No I can’t tell the future and yes I am just speculating.

However, your post that I was responding to was obviously bursting with facts and no speculation at all. You know for a FACT that Toby wants and extra £40k per week when most reports are it’s about £100k per week extra. So no speculation from you, just facts.

You know for a FACT we can afford any rise he wants. Again, you must be he club accountant or maybe even Levy or Lewis, because why would you speculate? Just facts from you on here.

I suggest the rest of us stop posting speculation on any thread and just wait for you to give us the facts.

It would be a pretty boring forum if we always Had to wait for facts..... it’s all about the cunt offs, don’t get those with pure facts? :sonpoint:

Works for city .......... :sonhmm:

Damn oil money! :dembelefingers:

Just did a search on twitter for any more news, got as far as toby a and up popped toby alderweireld, toby alderweireld liverpool, toby alderweireld mufc and toby alderweireld chelsea...

Yep, he keeps on digging. Mindblown entered this forum with posts about Woolwich and pissing on Spurs, which he still does. Then after getting binned all the time became more nuanced in his mugging off of Spurs.

Honestly, if you have no idea about the history of Mindblown and Justin, which you evidently don't, but are doubling down to save face, I suggest just not getting involved.

The comments aren't recent, because he's returned from a years ban.

You've come in like a bull in a china shop attacking Guido and made yourself look a fool defending a racist.

It's fuck all to do with how the club is run. John is Spurs, always has been Spurs. We disagree on everything, but he's Spurs. Mindblown is not.
Can you bring evidence that I'm not Spurs I'm gooner?
