I hear you.

But a thread that flows as long as individuals don’t go over the top and break site rules, - is a thread that flows IMO; personal attacks are against the rules of any forum: my comment to him was to inspire flow not conflict!

Maybe I’m too new to be so confident I don’t know?
Ive not been on long either myself but I agree that healthy discussion and debate is good, no doubt. That’s what it’s all about really.
Everyone can’t agree on everything.
I did call him a name so I’m not blameless I suppose.

We all get over being called names fella.

You must be talking about the 1970’’s. or earlier mate: not that I know the score on your info or the book writer personally, but Rangers & chelshit have been hard core BNP all of my early time 1980’s and they NEVER EVER HID IT!
The connection was from about 82/83 onwards. Before that ,there wasnt a connection. Certainly no stronger than the with us and other London clubs with rangers. It was down to individuals. The Blackpool incident I me toon was 73 or 74 I believe.

Sounds about right. The far right NF got kicked out of Millwall in 1978/9 and didn’t do too well in the early 80s at West Ham either; their strong hold was most definitely at Stamford bridge Chelsea so the time line fits.

West ham along with Charlton pretty much made up the BM,the west side over Upton park was a stronghold. That said,it was other west ham fans that pretty much finished them as force in London as well.

I read a book a few years ago by Bernard O'Mahoney who was the son of Irish immigrants and along with a lot of other guys of the same lineage he was very active in the NF or BNP in the 70s and I think they all followed Millwall in those days, mostly admitting they weren't really interested in the football, just the aggro. The book was called Hateland I think.
I'm sure I read in another book about football firms in those days that the NF or BNP asked a teams' firm - forget which - to bring along some of their best fighters as muscle on a march. When the muscle turned up some of them were black guys and they were told to go by the organisers, at which the white guys in the firm took offence and they all went home.
I didn't realise Charlton had a firm with a racist element back in the day.

By the mid 1980’s most London firms wouldn’t suffer all the BM, NF, BNP bollocks - pretty much every firm was a melting pot so they had no place. Chelsea were the exception!

Charlton were rumered to be hard core NF/BNP late 70’s early 80’s but they were not very active... it was only ever hearsay to my knowledge.

Worked with a Dundee fan who went to an away European game in Perugia in the early 00s and there was a bit of a set to in the town square before the game he said there were a lot of Charlton fans there and they were blamed for the trouble but he was adamant it was the locals that just steamed in and started it.

Charlton had a firm in the 80’s, B-mob. I’ve heard nothing of them in 25 years but I suppose England is a different kettle of fish..... I don’t go England games home or away- support from the pub or an armchair- too many chelsea - too many northerners.

England fan base what league teams make up the majority? Flags, banners ect have Rotherham,.swindon, or random places I’ve never heard of! Liverpool I know don’t support England but do we, United or city smaller teams get more into it probably because the England national team are high profile and they get a jolly abroad?

Balotelli real italian.

In Verona, Balotelli was insulted with racist words. The Verona supporters are on the right (a friend of Lazio) but the ultras leader has exaggerated. He said Balotelli is not all Italian. In the past he had said that celebrating Hitler is goliardia. He refers to "Forza nuova", an extremist political party

Didn't realise that there was actually an ordered list for this.

You are or you aren't. Maybe there's degrees of wife beating too? Understand the sentiment - change the title.
