AVB swapped of Sandro for a less defensive midfielder, then swapped wings away from the inverted wingers, swapped out the number 10 role and then switched to 4-4-2.

I'd call that plan B, C, D and E.

EX FUCKN ACTLY

the ammount of bandwagon jumping that goes on here and on pretty much all message boards is fuckn awful, it's like most of the cunts who frequent shit like this don't have an opinion or are just plain thick as fuck when it comes to footy

we can't play fast creative footy as we don't have the central midfielders to do it right now ffs, VDV was a world class attacking mid in his prime, Modric developed into the same thing but had a shaky start too at first, short fuckn memories alot of people have

What the masses of absolute cunts who follow THFC need to currently do is give the likes of Holtby, Eriksen and Lamela time to develop and grow an understanding together and we may be lucky enough to reach them heights again or even better

AVB did everything but throw the fuckn kitchen sink at Hull today. Teams view us as title contenders and pretty much all show up with 8 defenders starting, we are not afforded the type of space we were in the early hay days of Harry. The good thing is we will only get better as all our new signings settle and play more together if the fair weather "supports" get behind the team and quit knit picking like they could do better

AVB spends all week training these lads and has a whole team of people helping him, he picks the line ups based on alot more than just playing style. This is pretty much another transitional season tbh or growing pains if you will. Anyway fuck you lot I'm off to make dinner.

Tottenham Hotspur host Hull City at White Hart Lane on Sunday 27th October 2013 (KO 16:00) in the 9th round of 2013-14 Premier League.

Spurs come into the match in 5th place in the Table on 16 points with Hull in 9th place on 11 points. The clubs will also met in the Football League (Capital One) Cup Fourth Round at the Lane on Wednesday 30th October.

Sunday's match at will be the 31st time the two teams have met.

Hull City AFC were founded in June 1904, playing their home games at The Boulevard (the home of Hull Rugby club) and were admitted into the Second Division of the Football League for the 1905-06 season and finished in 5th place.

Tottenham Hotspur first played Hull City on 12th January 1907 in the FA Cup 1st Round (today's 3rd Round) when Spurs were in the Southern League and Hull were in the Second Division of the Football League. The match at White Hart Lane ended in a 0-0 draw, as did the replay at Anlaby Road but the match was abandoned after just 10 minutes of extra time. The result stood and a second replay was held at White Hart Lane with Herbert Chapman (later to become a successful manager at Woolwich) scoring the winning goal for Tottenham.

Spurs were admitted into the Football League for season 1908-09 and met Hull City in the Second Division. The Tigers took three out of four points off Spurs but it was Tottenham who won promotion to the First Division.

The two clubs next met in a friendly played in Brussels, Belgium in May 1912 with Hull City winning 2-0.

Spurs lost their Top Flight status when football resumed after WW1 and The games played against Hull on Christmas Day and Boxing Day in 1919 were both won by Tottenham 4-0 at home and 3-1 away. Those six points taken off Hull helped Spurs win promotion again.

The next 10 League meetings all took place in the Second Division over the course of 50 years between 1928 and 1978. Hull City moved to Boothferry Park in 1946 and remained there until 2002. Leeds United played a home Division One game there against Spurs on 25th August 1971 as they were serving a ground closure penalty. Alan Gilzean scored Spurs goal in a 1-1 draw.

The clubs met in the 1953-54 FA Cup with Spurs winning a replayed 5th Round tie 2-0 at the Lane after the first match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Hull were also beaten by Spurs in the 1980-81 FA Cup 4th Round 2-0 at White Hart Lane with Steve Archibald and Garry Brooke getting the goals. Tottenham would go on to win the Centenary Final that season against Manchester City.

The Tigers won promotion to the Top Flight of English Football for the first time in their history for the 2008-09 Premier League season and beat Spurs 1-0 at White Hart Lane in October 2008. The return match at the KC Stadium in February 2009 was won 2-1 by Spurs with goals from Aaron Lennon and Jonathan Woodgate.

A second foreign match was played between Spurs and Hull in Beijing, China in the Final of the Barclays Premier League Asia Trophy in July 2009. Spurs won 3-0 with Robbie Keane scoring a brace and Aaron Lennon getting a goal.

Jermain Defoe scored a hat-trick and Wilson Palacios & Robbie Keane scored in the 5-1 Premier League Spurs win at the KC Stadium in August 2009. The match at the Lane in January 2010 ended in a goalless draw. Hull were relegated at the end of the season.

Midfielder Tom Huddlestone joined Hull City from Spurs during the Summer 2013 transfer window for £5.25 million and fellow midfielder Jake Livermore went on loan for the season.

Sunday's game at White Hart Lane will be the 31st match played between the two clubs and Spurs have the edge with 12 wins to Hull's 9 with 9 matches having been drawn.

I really think some people need a reality check.
We haven't been title contenders in ages.
We barely win anything.
And yet home support acts like anything other than 5-0 wins each week is unacceptable.
Just wtf planet are you on people?
1-0 penalty vs hull fucking amazing!, Well done boys, support them all the way.
Well done AVB, well done AVB for speaking up. Lets start supporting our team ffs

I think whilst the £30m price tag isn't helping, Baldini is not a gullible idiot... there is no WAY we'd have paid that for someone so young without a BIT of confidence he might justify it!

GIVE. THE. BOY. TIME!

...the jock-sniffing lot got their wish with Holtby, Sandro, and Lennon - and look where it got us...at least AVB came to his senses quickly in the 2nd half...of course now they'll be saying that it would have been 4-0 if Lamela had played...
..fucking Lamela...
COYS

were did this absolute melter come from??

sammys bff???

this place is turning into fuckn cringe central, attack of the fuckn trolls

Just got in from the game. Without a doubt the atmosphere was the worst I have ever experienced. Ignoring the level of support (lack of) during the game, BEFORE the kick off it was embarrassing! Honestly, I felt like WHL was preparing to watch a film at the cinema. I truly felt like I was being a nuisance by trying to start AVBs Blue & White Army.

We can't possibly blame the style of football.

All I can say is can't wait for 1882.

Stat Attack:
With nine games gone Spurs have caught their opponents offside 34 times – which is seven more than the next on the list - Swansea.
... I do love it when the whistle rings for offside, and the opponent player is like 'How da fuck..?'

For all the criticism of Soldado, thank god we have a player on the pitch who can put away a penalty. Lost count of all the crucial ones Defoe etc missed down the years, those 3 he's scored have been the difference between 3 and 9 points.

Looking forward to the Everton game now, a team who will actually attack and give us a good game.

we're quiet because the football is boring at points, we just don't break teams down and it's hard to get behind a team playing so wooden, he needs to switch it up, we're getting too predictable, 4-2-3-1 with a high defensive lines and we try to play it down the wing

So we shouldn't sing when the football is boring? How is that different than only singing when winning? Isn't 1882 working towards a culture of strong support regardless of result?
