I don't think people quite realize how bad things are.
Next window, due to failed transfers and lack of investment over a prolonged period, we NEED to buy;
A goalkeeper to replace Lloris over the next 12-18 months, you can't wait until he's left.
A starting right back, we have two terrible ones.
At LEAST one starting central defender. We don't have a single top one at the moment.
A starting right winger
A backup striker
A starting central midfielder OR attacking midfielder if we are planning on playing Ndombele at 8 or 6.
We also SHOULD buy;
Backup right back, ours are all shit.
Second central defender, we don't have a single one up to par but maybe Toby/Dier with Rodon as 3rd choice would suffice if we have no money.
And that's without Kane or Son leaving. If one of them leaves, we'd have to replace them as well.
Winks, Sissoko, Rose, Sanchez, Dele, Lamela, Bale, Bergwijn, Doherty, Aurier, all need to fuck off. GLC is okayish but he's never fit and can't be relied upon.

tl;dr there's no money, stop dreaming. Lamela should stay because he cares, Bale can be world class at times, others i agree.

Lamela can stay but we can't have Lamela, Moura, Bergwijn as our 3 rotational options. One has to be replaced.

The jokes thing is Arteta stumbled into that situation. It was only because of injuries he had to turn to Smith-Rowe

Only disagreement would be us needing to buy a starting right winger. I think Bale has looked quite good in the last month, and I see no reason why he can't be on loan for another season.
But to add to your list of issues, sacking Jose will cost £20M, which would further limit our net spend in a transfer window where COVID financial restraints already limits us.

I would play Rodon and Tanganga for a start, we know the other centrebacks aren't good enough so let's find out if these two are worth keeping.

I would hire a hypnotist. I would find a way to have him hypnotize Jeff Bezos so that Bezos believes he wants to buy the team.
I am not sure that Bezos is the saviour many think he is.
There aren't really any signs that if he came in he would be willing to spend tons of money to make the team on the level of an Oil team.
Unless he sees that major success boosts his brand and therefore his wealth, I think he would be much like ENIC/Kroenke and do what he could to maximize his profits, and if that meant that spending an amount that keeps us top 4 and in the CL but never really competing for it, that is what I think he would do.
Maybe it would be an improvement because he could operate at a loss during times like this when cash flow is tight, but I am not sure it would result in City/PSG levels of spending and could be a lot of more of the same.
We need a guy like Cuban or Balmer or the Oil sheiks, that get value in seeing the teams wins that goes above money. That put winning above the bottom line. I am not sure Bezos has shown that he has that.
Genuinely think that there's a system that suits the players we have and things are nowhere near as bad as you post. New defenders sure. But someone knows a way to make our amazing players invincible and the average ones good. There is some dross that can fuck off but I think most can do a good job...with the correct management!
