Firstly had we won either trophy I'd have lived the rest of my life with a beaming smile. I personally would rather have a Premier League title as it would signify we were the absolute best in England, where Champions League is a cup. As for the 2 scenarios I personally felt we were the best team in the league when we came second, our goal difference showed our dominance and we deserved something to show for it. The Champions League would have been amazing but we had a lot of luck and were pretty poor in the league in 2019. I can see why people would prefer the Champions League, my best mate and brother both said they would as it's the pinnacle of club football, but personally I want the league slightly more.

Not gonna win either anytime soon with current crop. No good trying to buy cheap players for less than their value either. Until spurs spend like the Mancs do they won't win a thing !
Woolwich haven't spent like than Mancs. They're 20 minutes away from being the FA Cup winners yet again.

What hurts in particular is the totally pathetic nature of the defeat to Norwich. No excuse for playing Vorm, for not continuing to attack, for losing to one of the worst teams ever to grace the Premier League.

Is that supposed to be negative?

The Champions League.

Winning the Champions League/European Cup and reaching the pinnacle of club football is such an iconic moment and something that a club can always look back on in a way that I don't think you can with winning the League.

We came closer to winning this in 2019 than winning the Premier League in 2017 because, in fairness, we were always some way behind Chelsea and it never looked like we would catch them.

We won 12 of our last 13 league games and we still finished seven points behind them.

However, we were one game away from winning the Champions League but our players just didn't turn up. I was so disappointed with our performance.

Liverpool won without needing to get out of second gear.

I'd have to say the PL. We've won cups in my lifetime but never a league title. That's the ultimate. The 2016/17 team was as close as i've ever seen us get so it's still disappointing we didn't get over the line.

Yet we were never close to winning it that season.

We finished 8 points clear of Manchester City and 10 points clear of Liverpool.

How times change.

Champions league.

It's probably the one trophy that every player in the world wants to win.

Europe is the pinnacle of football. Players from elsewhere want to play in Europe.

To win the best prize in Europe is what it's all about.

Given how shit our season was that year, going out with a CL win would have been a fairytale.

CL is more glitzy, but league means much more to me... Bread & butter.... Consistent excellence rather than riding a wave of a cup run.....

Look at how little it meant to Liverpool the year they beat us.... They got so little kudos; it was surreal.
Probably something to do with them winning it 6 times already by then.

Dortmund was a decent scalp, City are always up there as favourites, Ajax were favoured by many against us..... But I take your point and agree about the EPL.

Yeah, no shame for beating whoever they put in front of you, but part of the CL excitement is the opportunity to take on foreign global megabrands with the Messis and Ronaldos of the world.

I have always debated which one I would want Spurs to win more but when I saw this poll it was an east answer for me to say Premier League.

That may be because our run to the CL final was based so much on luck rather than talent and really deserving to be there. With the PL run if we had won it would have been much more of a deserving title, based on talent and hard work and an indication that we deserving and a world class team rather than us getting a lot of luck and favorable rules decisons.

I am not sure if my answer would have been different if the CL had been with a much more talented team that got the on merit or if this shows that I truly do value a PL title over CL but for this poll the answer is easily the PL title.

Difficult one because I wanted to win both, the league because it's the yardstick to be measured by, but the CL because it was a once in a lifetime moment.
In all honesty we paid lip service to both as the club wasn't good enough to win either, who knows how long we will have to wait for another moment.
