You were the one arguing that this was the most barren run in the club's history, when it isn't.

You even went so far to say that you care nothing about our glorious history:
Double winners
Non-League FA Cup winners
First English team to win a major European trophy
etc.
All that means nothing to you

If only you could have admitted that you got caught out on not knowing our history and from that moment you were scrabbling around trying to make up for it. It would of made this so much easier.

And people say that Levy supporters can't accept facts.
:mourfacepalm:

I know of what the club has won before I was born. I have wikied it before. But knowing your history doesnt mean caring much about if there were 20 or 25 barren years more from 70 to 100 years ago. Who gives a shit, only an idiot would.

Still a basic fact remains. With levy in charge for 20 years weve won absolutely nothing to be proud of. Which is why supporting such a failure is loser mentality.

So you're not counting 2008 as something to be proud of?

Ok
I'm done

What Pochettino should have done and yes more difficult but he never gave the impression he understood this concept until too late..

I think 10% squad change a year from the kind of base he had would have brought success and challenge.

Mourinho understands that better but may never get to that point.

Only if Pochettino states he knows his mistakes can he ever return you I feel.

Fuck facts.... I'll make my own up.
Do you two think 1 league cup in 20 years is a record to be proud of?
Particularly for a club of our size, with our support, and with such an illustrious post war record.

As you both know, I like to deal with facts more than anyone.

Fun Fact of the day.

Spurs honours list 1950-2000 (pre ENIC)

2 League Titles. 3 European Trophies. 6 FA Cups. 3 League Cups.

Spurs honours list 2000-2020 (ENIC era)

1 league cup

We've had around 10 managers during that time. One league Cup between the lot.

Who has been the constant figure at the club during this period?

I would agree with you if we actually won the thing, but we didn’t did we ? For all our boasting about CL finals, we lost it so we failed. The current regime have produced 1 league cup in over 20 years.
Pompey has an FA Cup. Wigan has an FA Cup. I don't like Levy, but would you take Pompeys or Wigans board instead of Levy? I know I wouldn't...

They are the Levy sympathisers, what do you expect mate ? Specialists in Accepting failure these fans

Awful comparison mate. Pompey and Wigan are nowhere near our level financially or history. 100% I would take winning the Fa cup every season instead of CL finals and losing them. Why the hell would you be proud of failure all the time?

Just to clarify.

You would take reaching a CL final over winning an FA Cup?

Course he would and that’s the problem of these Spurs fans. They see just getting to the CL final as some sort of “success”. Getting to the final isn’t success, winning it is. Winning trophies is success. Give me winning a trophy like the Fa cup any day over losing countless finals.

Yes. I love the FA Cup, but it's not the competition it once was. Man United back in the day and then Liverpool made a mockery out of it.

Levy has been the constant and 1 league Cup is not acceptable

But let's not re-write history, do you agree that :
Your "fact" that the last 20 years have been the "most barren in the club's history" was wrong.?

That going 12 years without a trophy is not as bad as going 25 years without one.?

I'll wait for your answers but I'd appreciate it if you would tell me if you choose to ignore the questions.

The road to a CL final is great, but finishing second in that tournament means fuck all in the end - The FA Cup would still be great trophy to win for us.

The success in the last 20 years as JT and others say is not good enough. I agree. For the beginning period we were not competitive but have been in recent years. So why have we not won anything in say the last 5 years. Everyone will have an opinion and you cannot have a poll as it is a combination of reasons. If smaller clubs like Woolwich can win an F A Cup so can we. Like others I considered it a mistake not to buy anyone a couple of seasons ago but just spending money does not guarantee success as MU are proving. I was a strong supporter of Poch and at this time last year would support him to the hilt to still be here now. However fully supported him going when he did. Poch's attitude to the lesser competitions was equally at fault for us failing to win a trophy. Now was that him or Levy telling him that qualifying for CL was more important? I do not know but Jose did not take the same attitude with this season's F A Cup and whilst still undecided if Jose will be successful at Spurs, do like that attitude. The players as is frequently stated on this forum at important times have not performed. That also is a factor in the recent failure.
I cannot see any defence of our lack of recent success but cannot put the whole blame on Levy, ENIC, Poch or the players but they share that responsibility.

Agree with that but the difference between us and Woolwich was that winning the FA Cup/League Cup mattered to them
Poch couldn’t give a fuck and deliberately threw a NLD in the League Cup by fielding a weakened side
