Match Crystal Palace v. Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday, December 13, 2:15 PM GMT

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We would have been much better off giving some of our performing squad players a trot out today so they could bring some intensity and energy into the side. Sissoko and Bergwijn have been excellent the last three matches, but wouldn’t you want to save their graft for the two tougher games later in the week and maybe give Lo Celso, Lucas, or even Vinicius a run out to be a bit more enterprising. I think it would have been a great game for Rodon considering his aerial prowess against Benteke.

Starting line-up was fine IMO. A dominant first 30mins supports this.....

Gio has started the last 3 games.... Starting Ndomebele made perfect sense.... Playing Lucas > Bergwijn wouldn't have made much difference.

We failed to capitalize and score a second to secure the match, We bottled the match not our hope for the league title just to clarify 👍🏾
Nah mate, I think you're confusing the term 'dropping points' for 'bottling'... we are allowed to drop points without 'bottling it'... my problem is, that for every game we drop points from henceforth onwards, will be considered 'bottling'... that doesn't take into account the opposition.
Dropping points, or (heaven forbid losing) is not bottling... mind you, being 3-0 up at home to West Ham and not seeing the game out comes pretty close... so don't think i'm not on the same hymn sheet!

btw... have Liverpool 'bottled' it now they're 1-0 down??

Seeing lots of posts about we will learn from this.

I'm sorry but that game played out exactly as i thought. We would go ahead try to protect a lead. Difference being palace play the perfect tactics to put you under pressure if you allow them to get men forward. A low block doesn't make a bit of difference if the oppo plays direct football.

You can't hope to defend a 1-0 against that. Eventually pressure will tell.

I just think Jose should have anticipated this. It wasn't anything we have not seen from Palace before. Don't think a lesson needed to be learnt there.

I'm not going to lose my shit over a draw with Palace. To be honest, I thought that they deserved it on their second half performance. You won't go a whole season without losing or drawing a match or two. Yes it would've been nice to get the 3 points but i'll take a draw and move onto the next match.

Fulham are doing liverpool as we speak, so a point maybe good in the end against Palace.

Dunno why some people are blaming the result on this alleged world class performance by Palace's keeper. In most matches, you don't get a goalkeeping error on the scale of Kane's goal. If their keeper had really had a world class game, Spurs would've lost all three points.

I think Jose 'predicted' as much in his post match interview... he saw it coming too!
It's one thing to predict it... it's another to do anything about it!

we ALL saw it coming.... and yet we can't ALL be Spurs managers!

No need to defend for your lives at 1-0 up against Palace, they're not fucking Man City. You could see how we immediately shifted gears when they equalised but it was too late at that point. If you're going to go into turtle mode you have to do it with 2 goals up, not one. We should have tried to control the game before we went full defensive, but it seems like the players are too familiar with that style with the amount of big teams we've faced recently.

But I honestly think Mourinho will be telling the players something very similar. We cannot throw away a lead if we want to win the league. It will be that close.

The league is that tight. Whoever can see out these type of games will probably win it.

Our passing was awful second half. Invited pressure with no real threat from us. He will know where we need to improve. Giving up leads has to end.

At least Liverpool are losing at the moment.

Fulham need to hold onto this otherwise they've got no chance of winning the league.

For those of you that keep coming with this boring narrative of "Why did we sit back 2nd half"

Firstly, we didn't, we started the half on the front foot, we got slowly pushed back and last 15 decided to tough it out.

If we had been caught kamikazee on the break by Eze or Zaha going for a 2nd goal, you would all be giving it "why didn't we just shut up shop"

Sometimes, its nobodies fault, sometimes the opposition has a good day and gets a say.

See Fulham vs. Liverpool at the moment.

This season will be different because every big team failed their physical preparation before the season with this fucking Covid . Liverpool and Man City won't be able to product their usual style, Liverpool defense is so weak now.

I could not agree more
