Match Crystal Palace v. Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday, December 13, 2:15 PM GMT

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Watching Dele sat shivering today, had me wondering... Why don't the players have heated mega sleeping-bags to sit in when on the bench in the winter?

I mean, we've had electric blankets since the 70s...... This isn't a new concept.

Surely cold bodies are more likely to pull muscles etc.?
Probably a special exception to toughen Dele up - I expect the rest have them!

Dunno why some people are blaming the result on this alleged world class performance by Palace's keeper. In most matches, you don't get a goalkeeping error on the scale of Kane's goal. If their keeper had really had a world class game, Spurs would've lost all three points.

I don't think peeps are genuinely blaming the result on it as much as offering up a fairer reflection upon the play.... Complaints about sitting back aside, we had all the best chances.

The irony of all this is we have some peeps saying shit like "the XG factor was always gonna catch up with us eventually"...... I haven't seen any stats, but SURELY we smashed CP on that front?

To me it looks like Jose will never deviate from the Sissoko/PEH duo unless the following happens:

- We are losing a game with 20 mins to go
- Injuries

I think he prioritises not losing to such an extent that it's difficult for him to go gung-ho unless absolutely necessary.

Again, over the course of a season this could work but I think there is a fine balance to be found between avoiding losses and taking on a bit more risk to try to find two extra points.

Obviously man for man we have more talented players than Palace so why was it they who controlled the game?

I fully back the approach against the big teams and we have seen the results but I don't think it makes sense against lesser teams.

Jose is known for adapting his team to counter opposition strengths so I am surprised to see him apparently adopt this blanket approach.

At some point he has to find a way for us to consistently put lesser teams to the sword, though as Fulham are showing nothing is guaranteed in this league.

Mindnumb disagrees......

Rent-free, BITCH!

There seems to be a recurring problem with our 2nd half performances. The quality of the passing, the movement, the incisiveness etc all seem to fade in the 2nd.

Even the Chelsea game in which neither side was great, we looked dangerous in the first and non-existent in our goal threat in the 2nd. Same with the Arse game in which they had the better of the 2nd half, although i guess some would say that was part of the plan.

These 2nd half performances were gonna come back to haunt us and today we suffered for it. If we go into the Pool game still top, we've got away with it.

It seems like a mentality thing, as soon as Palace scored we suddenly looked threatening and urgent again

One problem with the way we play is that Toby is quite small for a CB who's expected to constantly contend aerial duels with some of the beasts in the PL.

Calvert Lewin absolutely towered over him, and again he was not enough of a presence against the massive players Palace sent into our box.

Even Dier was struggling with the sheer mass of people in the box.

Well doesn't that say it wasn't a size issue afterall then?
