He did seem to slip on the damp British grass initially. This is something he's going to have to adapt to. Once he's done that, with his silky skills & lightning-fast reflexes, combined all his other qualities, he has the potential to be a real asset.

Where his starting position with Son and Kane in the team? Show me a potential lineup
Personally like to see him in the 10 role, he is great at finding space, receiving the ball, and playing through lines.

Lloris
Tanganga Romero Dier Regulion
Skipp Hojbjerg
Lucas Bryan Son
Kane

Judging by the way he played you can play him anywhere behind the striker or a free roaming role. I'd even go so far as to say he could be the most advanced in a midfield 3. This guy is not only technically gifted but he's intelligent.

Looks much more like a creator than a goal-scorer. Definitely has bits of Modric about him, though a lot may just be the physique. You can't all be 6'3 and hunky like me. Early days yet but there's a lot to be positive about in regards to him.

Definitely Ringo's love child.

I was impressed and hope he has more end product than Traore., Lamela or Lennon. I hope he comes on in the 2nd half Sunday and gets a goal. We need someone to share the burden of getting goals with Son & Kane.

This obsession with starting 11’s is utter nonsense. We are only likely to have all first teamers available for a handful of games, and it’s important to have quality on the bench to change a game (rather than bringing in a zombie like Shitsoko)

he’s comfortable on the ball which is a plus for me - we are desperate for footballers all over the pitch so the more we have in the squad, the better

Kid looked really good the other night, apart from the obvious Modric comparisons the biggest compliment I can give him is that him and Kane struck up an understanding on the pitch already, means he has football intelligence and we don't have many players like that at the moment.

I had mixed thoughts as he seemed to be “only” a substitute in the Spanish olympic team… does that mean there were three better players ahead of him we should have gone/waited for? else have we got him before others have realised his talent? is it reasonable he’ll start a few epl games this year? Cheers
