Match Europa Conference - Mura (A) 25th November 17:45KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Conte has a type of work setting that usually passes through the summer preparation in fact in the past he has refused important offers in the race (including Real Madrid). It would be curious to understand how he is handling it. However, I confirm that he strongly believes in the game developed on the flanks but above all in the intensity.
And this is where we have our problem.

There is no quality on the flanks.
You look at players like Alonso, Robertson, Chilwell, James, TAA, Trippier, Cresswell, Cornet, Cancelo, Cucurella, Lamptey, Livramento, even KWP. They all have better quality than the players we have.

The rest of them?

Aside from Jose's distant past glories; who else do you have in mind?
Actually, fair point... Yeah, I was thinking of Jose, but our previous managers' inability to win anything with us points to either a problem with the whole infrastructure, or we curse promising managers...

AVB was the next Jose until we ruined his reputation, Poch had a fantastic reputation as an up and coming young coach, he did great for us the first few years, including getting us to the CL Final, but ultimately it didn't work out and has had to go to P$G (and inevitably Man Utd) to win any ACTUAL silverware!

But yes, I was ranting!

I've done such a brilliant photoshop I'm posting it here too, just to make sure you benefit from it.

What's our last game? I would rather get kicked out of this shit show then end up in the playoff round

Winning it is meh anyway. A Europa slot, whoop de fucking dooo

Would also give Conte more time to work with the players

Ratings tonight (No one was good btw)

Gollini - 3/10 Looked frozen for both goals
Doherty - 1/10 Atrocious
Tanganga - 4/10 did ok nothing special
Rodon - 6/10 best defender on the night but distribution poor
Sanchez - 0/10 at fault for both goals and it was the same mistake for both goals.
Sessegnon - 0/10 Did nothing apart from pick up 2 poor yellow cards.
Skipp - 2/10 Was not good tonight. looked all over the place and passing was poor
Ndombele - 3/10 Tried to make things going forward but technique was poor most of the night.
Gil - 5/10 Never stopped running and pressing. looked bright tbf.
Dele - 1/10 Passenger
Kane - 4/10 Apart from his goal and some good crosses he was very poor. His touch was not up to standard today.

Not even going to rate the subs because none of them really did anything.
You seriously rated ndombele higher than skipp??? At least skipp was trying and putting effort in which in my opinion is the bare minimum I expect to see from a footballer / for me ndombele along with dele and Doherty can fuck right off I’d rather see youth players on the bench than those 3 frauds

Quick caveat. I'm a words man, maths isn't my strong suit. My wife has caught me counting on my fingers more than once, much to her merriment.

But.....

I think I've got this right. In terms of qualifying second from our group, losing last night as opposed to drawing actually makes no difference. As it stands, we have to match Vitesse's result in the last game as we both have 7 points. If we had drawn, we'd have 8, but the above would still be true - drawing our last game and Vitesse winning would have seen them comfortably through.

The only difference if we both get the same result is that we'd qualify courtesy of Vauxhall Conference League rule 17-4(c) or whatever it is as opposed to being a point clear.

Of course, if we'd won (Ryan Sessegnon, I'm looking at you), another cockerel would be crowing, as the Spanish saying has it, and clearly, none of the above is in any way an attempt to sugar-coat last night's humiliation.

We had very few spurts of attacking motion in that game, I think Ndombele provided most of what we did manage. Don't think he was good at all, but he was probably our best player in the first half.

More or less agree with that, although your take on the subs is way off I'd say.

Dier was our best player on the night and he only played 45 mins. Defended well, brought the ball out confidently, passed forward well and was the start of pretty much every attack we had. Props to Moura as well in a similar vein. Both were far better in their relatively short time on the pitch than any of the starting 11.

Davies was a considerable upgrade on Matt "1/10 is being generous" Doherty, but then again, an ornamental plant placed on the right wing would have been an improvement.

Son was poor I'll give you that, PEH too.

That wasn't because were were playing a rotation/B-team selection either though.

That’s my point.

That's not definite though... That's very much what I and a large amount of people here finding themselves repeatedly questioning. Where's the hunger from these rotation options to seize that opportunity? ....To stake a claim for a start the following weekend? ...Why are they repeatedly being outfought? ....Why must it so often require a wake-up call like tonight?

(Rhetorical questions at this point, cos we've kinda come full circle.... Seems that you're taking their commitment [insert prefered word] for granted; I'm questioning it.)

You think people like Tanganga, Rodon, Sanchez, Doherty Gil, Alli weren’t trying ?

I don’t believe that at all. I think they are just varying degrees of not great. Especially when you stick them all together.
