What happens if a couple get injured... that lean squad will become threadbare.

They all reek of ‘has beens’ a bit in my opinion… like they weren’t quite good enough to play for Barca in their pomp …. But the dream remains and it’s a fillip for the ego

There's nothing garanteed when you spend spend spend...you don't ensure you get top 4 by just merely filling the squad out with risks, you just have to assume that Conte is happy and that he can work with the players he has now.
We are 4th in the form table btw in the league, this despite being 3 matches behind everyone else, I don't know where all the doom and gloom is coming from.
21/22 Spurs net spend: 55m, Woolwich's was 120m
20/21 Spurs net spend: 87m, Woolwich's was 77m

18/19 Spurs net spend: -5m, Woolwich's was 63m
We've been very much outspent by them, both in terms of transfers & wages. And their own fanbase has been unhappy with the level of investment in the squad. They've also had, let's face it, superior academy prospects filling spots - guys like Saka, ESR, Martinelli.
It's a risk, but we're out of Europe, mostly just one game a week from here on in. Good position to build in the summer, when likely we'll have better options to get real quality in.
Ok, go support them then. Barca was probably the best squad in the world when these players were kids. We can't go back in time and change that to spurs. What the fuck is your point.
That's fair. Woolwich clearly have a few academy guys doing well but what the fuck did they spend all that money on?
But your point was that their bench was weak and had players we had never heard of. Elneny and Pepe are mediocre, they'd be sitting on the bench anyway.
Let's be frank- Woolwich have a significantly better team than us- we are lucky to have Conte who is world class and thus evens it up.
