Why do people discount the opening 10 matches of his tenure, it's so stupid![]()
Because everyone knows he was found out after 10 matches

What an idiotic statement even for you!Why do people discount the opening 10 matches of his tenure, it's so stupid![]()
Because people like Harry7 keeping spouting he finished 5th ignoring the form of the last 3/4 of the season as if he’s likely to produce that form every season. So once again how does that discount from the first 10 matches?
Bolded are the huge issues for me. In all his time at Spurs Vertonghen only missed around 30 games for us due to injury, Toby's numbers were fairly similar, also I'm sorry but if all those defenders were so world class individually you could replace one of them with a lesser player without your defensive stability falling to pieces, we weren't suddenly conceding 4 or 5 a game during the Poch years when Toby or Vert had an injury, and their backups weren't exactly world class. You can't use it as some sort of absolving factor for all 4 of those defenders that they have rarely played together, firstly their lack of availability is a knock against their overall value as a player, secondly just because they didn't all 4 play together many games doesn't mean that 3/4 of those players weren't present in the vast majority of our line-ups this season. Is than an objective fact? I read during the week that we've a 70%+ win ratio when that back 4 are all on the pitch together. We conceded 2 goals in our last 5 Europa League KO games with that back 4 starting.
I think most of those 126 goals conceded came when the likes of Davies, Dragusin, Gray, Dier and Emerson were starting in our back 4.
Availablility is a huge problem and we need more able back up. Danso looks good back up. I still think we need to improve on Spence and Dragusin. But that back 4 when on the pitch together is very very good. Player for player it is one of the best back 4s in the league and certainly one of the best I've ever seen at Spurs.
Is it though? I’m not saying you completely discount it but there has to be some context. Use your damn brain a little. It’s pretty reasonable that a fresh team at the beginning of the year with new tactics and a favorable schedule could catch fire a bit. Outliers are that for a reason. Because they aren’t indicative of the overall picture. And when you have 10 games with a ppg of 2.6 and then the subsequent 28 at 1.43 and then the subsequent full game season at 1.0 then it’s pretty fair to say that the first 10 games were a blip of an outlier. It’s not like we’re saying we discount half his tenure. It’s been 76 league games. Outside of the first 10 it’s been a steady trajectory into absolute shambles.
Because people like Harry7 keeping spouting he finished 5th ignoring the form of the last 3/4 of the season as if he’s likely to produce that form every season.
Well he didn’t did he?!
It’s pretty self explanatory!

Spot on. The cup win rightly increased the volume of the cultists. I was happy for them to enjoy it. I enjoyed it an haven't wavered from the belife this is the poorest coach we've ever had no matter how hard that is for a few really odd posters to accept. So I think the noise made makes his support seem deeper than it is. If Paratici is now driving the football he will know Postecoglou has not met the most basic competencies.I think the silence speaks volumes.
All the reliable journalists like Orstein, now Delaney, and others saying the expectation is Ange will be sacked.
Ally Gold's article today says that talk around Spurs is that the delay is to let the cup euphoria die down so that the crowd aren't so angry when Ange gets the bullet.
Weird though how Ally seems to suggest so many Spurs fans want Ange to stay after the cup win, I think it's much more 50/50 than is being portrayed on social media.
It's going to happen soon Ange Outters and it will be a glorious day.
What are you on about? So you're using an extreme and ignoring facts because someone else who is opposing your argument is doing the same thing? Brilliant.
Being most fair and possibly overkind to Ange, you'd discount both the first 10 games (outlier, and clearly a bit of a manager bump), and the last 10 games (injuries, and focused on the EL). Even doing that, he simply has not shown any ability to coach a top 6 team in the prem. He does not have the tactical advancement or flexibility to succeed in this league. What are you on about?
It’s like saying ‘my cars very reliable’, when it was for the first 5 years of ownership, but for the last 5 years it breaks down weekly!
The 5th place finish was influenced by the opening 10 games. Second season he’s finished 17th, so what do you think is a fairer indicator of his ability and where he’d likely finish next season?! Do you think you ignore last season?!
Blimey! It’s not a difficult concept to get your noggin around!
