Thing is we've seen this time and time again...

A new manager comes in and there will be an uptick in performance, if nothing else because they will do something different, and probably get back to basics as a starting point.

I can't believe that people actually think that this is it, nobody could be doing better, it's bizarre.

Not even commenting on his managerial ability, Ange has gotten himself muddled up mid-project and hasn't a clue how to get himself back on track, he's disappeared up his own arse and can't find a way out, the only way this is going to get better is with a fresh start.
You think he has got his vision muddled? Maybe you are correct but also the stupidity of not surrounding yourself with elite coaches to get your vision across is pure stupidity.

The fact is we do not seem to be doing anything to take advantage of the opposition weaknesses. We do not look to create pockets of space. We don't look to create space by stretching teams. Too often we make the pitch smaller by inverting our full backs. Our press has no organisation or Triggers. I just do not know what we are coaching.

Forest debatable, but it’s closer than you think, particularly their starting 11 compared to ours.

But certainly Liverpool, Woolwich, City, Chelsea, Newcastle, Villa all have better squads than us. United if they get their act together potentially as well.

Point is, we’re a mid table side on paper.

We have absolutely no divine right to be challenging for top 4.
This squad is nowhere near where I want it to be, but it’s definitely good enough to be in around that 4- 8 collection of teams. Us being in this position is purely because we have the worst manager in the premier league and that’s not even hyperbole to say.

What makes things worse is none of the top sides are even that great this year any type of consistency is going to have you in the mix (look at forest) if we had hired a proper manager instead of ange we would be up there even with this squad.

Ange isn’t guy but I’ve no interest in a mason or Moyes type in until the summer.

If the next guy won’t take the job now. (Iraola etc) there’s no point in changing

Please stop defending Ange, he’s out of his depth. Lovely attacking football but football is so much more than playing like FIFA.

He’s a good manager, world class at getting a team to attack well, but an all rounder for the premier league top table? No.

He needs to go, we are a couple of losses away from a genuine relegation battle. You can’t seriously look at our team and have belief they will put a string of wins together with confidence.

We might make a cup final and he could possible even win it, so did Ramos when he was manager. Jose got to a final and wasn’t this low before he got sacked.

21 games and we are on 24 points, over half the season gone and we’ve followed the same poor form as we did at the end of last season.

Ange has been found out by the other managers, it’s time to go.

When Bentancur came back from injuring his achilles, people rightly said it would take time to get him back up to speed. When players are out for months on end, should that be factored in too?

His failure to rotate earlier in the season has ruined us.

There’s a reason why Bergvall, Gray, and Spence have looked like our best players lately. All part time players earlier.

Same reason why players who have played every match for us (Solanke, Kulu, Porro) have dropped off immensely

Don't forget Udogie please (!) he has been shell of himself this season, playing almost all the games. Even soon after recovering from knocks.
Has been invisible on the attacking side this season.
0 goals and 1 assist from 1816 (!!) minutes. ONE goal contribution. But still played when he was fit enough to stand.
Spence has 1+2 in 758 minutes and really unlucky not to have few more (like yesterdays run where he put in perfect cross to Solanke).

We needed one months ago. The fact is Ange doesn’t know how to organise a team.

Just listening to a gooner in Petit who has just said the same thing. I thought he was a dick but he seems to be balanced in his views. Said the manager needs to go for pretty much the same reasons as most of us. It’s all a mess and players don’t know what they are meant to be doing, he doesn’t know what the manager is trying to do. I don’t normally listen to ex pros, especially ones of other clubs, but he seemed genuine in his concerns.

We don't have the luxury of waiting for the "perfect manager" to start a new "project". We're sliding down the table and are in desperation mode of needing a coaching setup that's better than the one we've got.

And when you look at it from that perspective.. A potential shortlist starts to look quite long.

I was thinking the same last night. Just an experienced manager to come in and take the job who plays sensible football for 6 months. Loads would take it for a couple of million. Then we can reassess in the summer.

I don't know if that's what I mean exactly, ever started something and it's not going great, but you've started down a path and you just keep going with it, but in reality the best thing to do would be to stop, rip it all up, and start again?

That's kind of what I mean.

Almost literally, if he came into training today and said lads, forget all of that bollocks about inverted this and high that, we're going four four facking two, mid block, run around a bit... I reckon it would be much more successful with persisting with whatever it is he thinks he's got going on. The players look totally lost.

Only problem is, it's not even guaranteed that with a clear head and fresh board that Ange has what it takes.

And yes, having some decent coaches would help a lot.

Arteta came up with another easy way to nullify us. Press the ball to our left side so our keeper/players have to play wide ball to Son.

And Son either does not jump for header, or is easilly dispossesed by defender (happened like 3 times just in first 25 minutes?)

And old tricks still worked as well. Once ahead due to set piece/buildup fuckup, sit deep and wait. We would not score 2nd even with additional 90 minutes.

At least ball movement on our half was improved in 2nd half due to Ange adjustements (mostly personal changes) - but then we were completely toothless in final 3rd.

Btw it was funny to see Deki and Son left forward during their corners. Both terribly slow these days. Not single counter was generated because of that.
