It's nuanced and complicated but treat people with respect would be the starting point.

The equality of the sexes is acknowledging woman can be just as as idiotic football pundits then any man. There are some shocking pundits of either sex and some good ones too.

You kind of shot your own fox here. Aberdeen made a good faith attempt to explain himself and you just reduced it to the dismissal of a biggot. There are genuine register issues in some voices that tend to be female that are well known in my field to be 'undesirable'. Its why lots of famous women (and some men) have coaching to address it. This blights some of the female's on comms and is erroneously just being bundled in with their gender.

Also point of order...there weren't pubs in the eighties in England that had no dogs or Irish....oddly you miss the blacks from your quote( unless they were welcome) in the 1950's post the arrival of the Empire Windrush we sickeningly had 'No Black's dogs Irish' signs regards accommodation. The race relations act of 1976 would have made such bigotry an arrest able offence.

In a lot of WMCs in Yorkshire in the 70s there were ‘No Women’ signs on the door to the snooker/games room but no one gave a shit

It had all stopped by 1980 though unless one of the lads nailed another up just for a laugh 😆
 
Reading today that Aluko was scared to leave her house and has had to go abroad, due to Barton calling her Rose West? It’s certainly not a nice thing to say, but fearing for her safety is a bit over the top isn’t it?

Am I missing something here? Have people been threatening her?
