The last Euro Cup was tailor-made for us to win: 6 out of 7 games at Wembley with almost no opposition fans due to COVID restrictions, the easiest path to the final, and a questionable penalty against Denmark in the semis.

Now, despite having a £1.4 billion squad brimming with talent, we're seeing it wasted once more. Honestly, I wouldn't trust Southgate to manage a Tesco, let alone our national team.

Because most of our talent haven't kicked a ball yet. Mainoo has played about 5 minutes. Palmer hasn't played a single minute yet. Neither has Gordon or Wharton. Yet we see Spain throwing in a very talented 16 year old from the start without hesitation. It's a joke and it needs to change right now while we're still in the tournament.

36 goals for Kane last season.

22 premier league goals for Palmer in a bang average Chelsea team

19 Premier League goals for Foden

19 La Liga goals for Bellingham

That is a deadly strike force - yet we've barely registered 2 goals and just seven shots in target in our first two matches.

It's pretty unbelievable that you can waste that much talent.

Lewandowski plays in an average Poland team and still manages to maintain his quality.

While Southgate is largely to blamed, the players do have to also take responsibility. They should be good enough to look much better against the likes of Serbia and Denmark regardless of tactics. I think at the moment we're accomodating Kane and Bellingham who are nowhere near 100%. Add to that the balance of the team issues, and Southgate's negative approach to football, it's no wonder we've been struggling.

We've definitely been struggling, but the extent to which were struggling at this tournament is something else.

You have to go back to the relegation from the Nations League group to think of a time when we were so lacking in any cohesion or ideas.

We don't even know what we're doing at throw ins FFS.

The Denmark game was almost a carbon copy of the 2016 game against Iceland when they knocked us out in the last 16..

It seriously could be Southgate's last two games for us if the players don't pull their fingers out and Southgate can't come up with a system that makes world class players look even semi competent.

The answer is just to remember his limitations as a manager and keep it simple.

A simple 433 would be better than whatever formation he's trying to play at the moment.

When everyone is having a shit game and your best player is a CB for making last ditch tackles then you know you have problems, not sure how much blame you can put on players if the system is a load of balls tbh.

Still no excuse for the amount of time players lost the ball because of poor passing or a bad touch though. Some of the best players in the world looked like Championship players at best when they had the ball. Probably frustration and a lack of confidence under Southgate, but they should still be showing more.

It's not but I'm happy to give these guys a pass, there's been way too many occasions is football where the manager has set teams up incorrectly making players look far worse than they are.

This is am extreme case, we have some of the best players in the world playing like absolute cunts and that majorly comes down to one person.

The best players are playing some very average players too. Half the Eng team wouldn’t get into Spurs 11

You can make the case for pretty much most international teams.

Regardless of that England have enough good players to play a consistent, cohesive brand of football.

This is basically the players you can choose from the build a team. If anyone is telling me you can’t built a decent team out of the below and get it to play decent football then they are a shit manager. Pep could manage that if he had a better goalie than Pickford.

Walker, Trent, James, Braintwaite, Tomori, Stones, Ghuei, Mitchell, Shaw, Gallagher, Bellingham, Rice, Wharton, Mainoo, Foden, Saka, Palmer, Bowen, Kane, Toney, Watkins, Gordon, Maddison, Grealish, Rashford, Sterling

The only average players in our eleven are Trippier (when at left back) and Pickford. Guehi wouldn’t get in to the Spurs XI but it doesn’t make him average, we just happen to be incredibly strong in that area.

The rest - Stones, Walker, Foden, Saka, Kane, Bellingham, Rice and one of Trent, Wharton or Mainoo are all star players for their mostly very big clubs and all big players or big talents.

As a Spurs fan this so reminds me of Ramos and AVB where all the fan thought their players were shit then when Redknapp or Poch turned up suddenly realised the prior manager was just a donkey.

Potter is out of the race. Who will you realistically get?

Don’t say Poch or Klopp. Realistic answers only.
They will go with Carsley I think.

They will think it went well with Southgate - and to an extent it has, its just going to be an almighty downfall in the next 10 days, plus fucking it up every time we've had a chance of doing something.

They will promote from within. But it will be interesting to see who it actually will be in the end.

Klopp and/or Poch will definitely get a call.
