While Gallagher wouldn't be the change any of us would make, and certainly not the only change, if our players perform close to how they can it will still be enough to beat Slovenia.
Nothing against Bowen, but I want to see the likes of Gordon and Palmer coming on with 25-30 minutes remaining. Use Mainoo. We have players on the bench that would get into many teams first 11 at the Euros, so use them for fucks sake.

Just drives you daft that we have the worst of both worlds... Ideally you'd be well coached, whilst looking to dominate the game.. Failing that. You're normally either boring and negative but well drilled... or a lesser coach lets the handbrake off and all the attacking quality is given freedom as in Solskjaer's interim period at Man Utd, or even Mason's first interim period with us..
England are completely without organisation, whilst sitting in a low block. We're not going to be able to plot our way through this tournament in the way that the manager wants us to. Our only chance of being a contender, is if we gather momentum and become a juggernaut.. And our only chance of doing that is by having the attitude that if we embolden our attacking talent, and play them in their natural positions, we can hit harder than nearly any opponent we'll play.
I know it's not all as simple as this, but ask a German, French, Spanish etc fan, what they would rather play. An England that will nullify it's own quality, but will give up only a few chances. Or an England that is a bit daft, but they've got Kane, Bellingham, Foden, Saka etc, and they are going to go for you. I think the latter would bother them more.

Getting them talked about though isn’t it, which lets be fair, is all they really want.
I wonder if they'll play a lot better tonight since there is no pressure on them?

Come first - game against Austria
Come second - game against Germany
Come third - game against Portugal.

If we play well it's a bonus, but let's just face it, we're on a four game playing shite streak if you include the loss to Iceland and our late win against Bosnia.

Basic issue with that is they can’t compete with the actual Goldbridge. He will often say something that is true but be really outlandish or humours for drama, Shearer or Richards don’t have comic timing and it just ends up looking amateurish . Lineker is the BBC front for Match of the Day a positon ideally where you are supposed to be neutral.
They should stick to being bland BBC front men because their attempts at being the lads is a really poor man’s Gooner Claude or Mark Goldbridge. Gooner Claude had 10X the personality of the BBC football pundits, they need to stick with what they are good at.

Majority of them have podcasts to promote so they'll say outlandish things for clicks.
Linker's podcast has milked the fuck out of this and as a result has millions of people watching it, same when Neville and Rio come out with BS - it's all because they are trying to promote their brands.
Ex footballers often have no personality, you do get Ally McCoist who is quite a laugh but the average is Merson who talks like he is on a sedative. Neville was quite good when he first did punditry on Sky as he concentrated purely on tactics, he doesn’t have the charm for the other stuff so now everyone just thinks he is a dick.
His Podcast is the most watched out of all the ex pros because of his platform and his name so whatever people think about him he still pulls in the views.
The Overlap is actually pretty good, the guests that come on the pod actually make for good viewing.
