Silva was easily ten times the player Lo Celso is. Silva never played CM much in the Prem though, as I recall.

He has good talent but English football just isn’t for him. Like Conte has said, you need a certain level of physicality to make it here and he doesn’t have it. He was not able to train at this level without constant injuries.

There have been enough players in this league who made it without being physical.
I’m not talking about throwing themselves about on the pitch. I’m talking about more simple stuff like being able to withstand the intensity of training. His body can’t do it. He was never injured before he came to England.

Lo Celso is the kid in your under 12’s team that wasn’t bad but cried every time he got tackled and was always injured
No he got injured during the first international window after joining. Sessegnon is the one we signed that summer knowing he was already injured.

Yep Conte right again. Saying the same as a lot of us. He just didn’t have the physicality or fitness for the league. Isnt the first and won’t be the last, let’s just hope it isn’t us making the mistake again. Amazing how regularly clubs do though isn’t it. Surely the firs question you should ask when buying a player is, does he suit the league?

Everyone said Modric did not have the physicality to play in the Premier League, Hazard also had that on his scouting report done by Spurs. The fact is if you have enough technical ability you do not need the physicality. Los Celso's problem is that he likes too long on the ball and does not have the physicality and is too one footed to get away with it in the Premier League in the middle of the park.
I’m not sure that’s right about Modric. There were questions as to whether he could play centrally when redknapp started to play him there but when he came starting off the left (until he got injured) there wasn’t. He was schooled in the Croatian league and has spoken in the past about his lower league loans there which basically involved him being kicked for 90 minutes non stop. I don’t know about hazard but Modric never really shirked a tackle or avoided playing whilst with us until he wanted out and even then he kept going.
Why do you think we signed Modric when we did. Every club knew about him Man Utd, Woolwich and Chelsea all knew about him and were scouting him but worried about his suitability to the premier league. Levy moved quickly to sign him because he knows we have to take risks when signing players others do not have to take that risk, the problem with the risks is if they do not work they become catastrophes like Ndombele.
This is no endorsement of Levy and the way he runs the club because there are ways to reduce the risks.
