absolutely no need to label him a cunt.

He's been a great servant to the club unlike those 2 wage thieves who don't care.
For the last 2.5/3 seasons, he's been utter shite. So he's a cunt.

I'll give you that he's certainly contributed much more than Ndombfuckface and Gio Lo Crapo, but he's still a cunt and he's been stealing a living for the last couple of years.

Will be interesting to see if can rediscover some of his form elsewhere though. I certainly wish him more luck than I do for those two wage thieves.

This is old hat now, Levy stopped overpricing a couple of years ago...see Alderweireld, Lamela, Sissoko fees, he knows he has to get them out the squad and get them off the books.
He has not seen the light , those players were either old or injury prone. Let’s see him sell a fit 25 year old at market value
Clearly there is an argument for why would you want to sell one of those, but none of the players you mention have 1 penny resale value to a buyer

In a nutshell, there's an option attached to the loan, but one that Lyon will never be able to afford, so it's just for show. Lyon gonna pay a small part of that 12mil that is basically the annual cost of N'Dombele's signing since 2019. OL will also cough up for over half his wages, said to be round 600k a month.

None of them have been good this season but we're leaving ourselves short if we lose Dele, Ndombele and Lo Celso this season.

Dele decent first three games of the season and vs Liverpool. Ndombele decent vs Villa, Newcastle, Liverpool. Lo Celso... Lo Celso has done nothing for us this season, really.

So nothing about the players individually, but losing three and bringing in one to leave us with Hojbjerg, Skipp, Winks, Bentancur... an injury or two leaves us very thin.

maybe Lucas/Kulu/Berg as a 10 if you go 3-5-2.
Lets look at the post-Nuno era, it was obvious Conte didn't fancy Dele/Bele so they were literally not going to get any minutes for the rest of the season. Gio came back from his injury and was also thrown on the scrapheap.

It's not losing three and bringing in one, we are bringing in two. Dele even featured, to terrible effect, as one of the two "10s" behind Kane. Gio was seen as a 10, in Conte's words, and Ndombele tended to play quite an advanced role. So it's not fair to say we are losing 3 CMs. They were CM/AM "hybrids".

All three tended to be used in more advanced roles but ultimately failed to find a position in Conte's preferred 343.

We now have 4 specialist CMs for two roles (yes I'd like someone better than Winks to make up the 4 but we'll survive till summer).

We have 5 attackers for the 3 roles up top. Great cover for the 4 wide roles but yes we lack cover for Kane. Though something like Son - Bergjwin - Kulu if Kane goes down doesn't look terrible to me.

A perfect window would have been a RWB upgrade and a Kane backup but we needed that before the window. We haven't weakened those areas we just haven't strengthened them either. Meanwhile we HAVE strengthened in CM and RW.

What is your basis for that fear though? Simply because it's happened in the past?

I mean, yes? We have a horrendous history of signing shite and then being unable to get rid of it.
Throw in the almost unanimous feeling from Juve fans that they're happy they're gone.
We'd all be over the moon GLC, TND, Dele and Doc went. Would that not make their new teams wary of what they've got?

The only upshot to me is that one is cheap and one is a loan, so maybe not a TND level catastrophe

If I could give this 1000 likes I would.

I think fans just make do with anything. Get worn down by the end of the window and accept anything almost for the sake of it. They might come good, i hope so but lets be real when we appointed Conte and we were getting linked with proper top level players if someone said our January window would be Kuksevski and Buntencor everyone would have done their pieces.
