If we run a 4-3-3 under Ten Hag then we need more midfielders. Even under a 4-2-3-1 there is value for him next to any of Ndombele, Lo Celso or Hojbjerg.
I agree that he shouldn't sit on the bench but I think we need him next season.

So much for him coming back and playing the last 3 games then. Played every game for them this season and lo and behold a bad injury when he's a week away from returning to us.. We're cursed.

Reminding me of Pritchard who did brilliantly on loan in the Championship and got badly injured in the following summer. Still a bit saddened when I think of the trajectory his career took following that injury.
