Micky van de Ven says Richarlison does the most ridiculous skills in Tottenham training

Tottenham signed Richarlison from Everton 18 months ago in a £60 million deal (Sky Sports).

The Brazilian has always been a good player. When he moved to Spurs, many expected him to be a big hit under Antonio Conte because of his versatility and work rate.

However, Richarlison’s first season at Tottenham was a disastrous one. Many viewed him as one of the flops of the season and some fans even wanted him out. Gabby Agnonlahor went as far as calling him a League Two player.

However, Richarlison has turned it all around this season, and he’s a fan favourite now. His teammates really admire him too, both on and off the pitch.

Micky van de Ven sat down for a segment with the Premier League yesterday, and he was asked by Marva Kreel to name the one player who is most likely to pull off a ridiculous skill in Tottenham training.
The Dutchman quickly replied: “Richy!”

Other players need to step up and help him. Too many anonymous players out there today. Now wrap him in cotton wool as he will be needed next game.

Oh and fantastic strikes today. Almost forgot to mention them.

Considering the rest of the team are in a mild funk (attacking wise), it seems conservative to think 15 is the medium prediction.

Think 18 is Medium, 20 strong finish, 25 if he maintains form since surgery return.

Would absolutely love if he wins the Golden Boot. Think he has earned the focal striker position, with Son coming back LWF, with Son moving to the middle if Richi has an off game on the hour etc.

Haaland back, Son coming back… Golden Boot is waaaaaay out there for this season.

20 league goals would be incredible and full high end imo. Would also make him the best press striker in the premier league

He’s only 4 Goals off top, Haaland might not be fit and relapse, Salah injured…

He’s been incredibly consistent in finding goal scoring positions since his return, plus the two top finishes yesterday will have his chest fully pumped out.

Don’t think 50% will ever agree he’s the guy, he’s not aesthetically pleasing enough for many “purists”.

But, will be impossible to ignore if he hits 20 and then continues it until Xmas.
That’s a shame. It’s probably one of the hardest things in an athlete’s career, to turn public opinion around from a poor start

2 goals aside I thought he was poor today tbh. Hold up play was terrible.
Scored 2 great goals which is his main job. But he did give the ball away a lot including twice in the build up just prior to Kulu brainlessly giving away the foul that led to their 2nd goal. Is in a rich vein of form but still not convinced he is what we need long term

Possibly when he looks comfortable in one on ones and scores them.

But he's got his mojo back, no question.

Those goals yesterday were Kanesque. If he'd scored those we'd just laugh, "that's Harry for you!!"

Check out his disallowed "goal" v Brentford. Very cool chip.
Two instinctive finishes, it’s when he’s got time to think that he looks more cumbersome.

Also his general play yesterday was the worst for a while

A ridiculous change of form
first 39 barely played striker. in fact he was on the right for most of it i think, which is his worst position. still pulled his weight without scoring.
