He’s 23 years old and been our 11 months.

Everyone gets a clean slate under Ange.

The odds of him becoming a success are quite low. But the fact people are using a 15 min cameo after a 11 month absence as some form of validation is ridiculous
It’s not just the 15 minute cameo. We’ve seen him for years and he’s not a good player. He’s serviceable at best, even with his strength being that he (was) a good athlete.

That 15 minute cameo was tough to watch. I’ve seen dozens of players come back from a long layoff and not many looked as woefully out of shape as that. Based on that, It’s hard to see him recovering to the level that he was, which wasn’t that impressive to start with.

I’d love to see him turn into bale but just giving my opinion that it is a next to zero chance of it.

Think that Sess is long gone unfortunately.

Yes that's the most likely hood. My only hope is he was never a player who exclusively relied on his pace.

He won't ever be a started, but if he can work himself back to be a good squad player at LB, that would be a nice surprise.

Sessegnon like Werner has until end of season to prove himself. Had two good games for us sessegnon. Bayern away and city away. Injury prone so on very thin ice.

He was pretty solid at the end of Contes first season. Had a great game against Liverpool away and Woolwich at home in that run too.

But he's proven throughout his whole tenure here that he can't really be relied on sadly.

At this level, the differences in skill between top players and the rest is relatively small. The biggest differences are attitude and confidence. Being afraid of making mistakes is a recipe for poor performance no matter how skilled you may be.

Goddamn, Ange... why didn't you hear the advice... you cannot take straight look at him. Much less a "good look". His body cannot take it and breaks into three pieces. Should have taken quick peek around the corner through his fingers, then we could possibly have Ryan still fit :D

... I mean... him breaking down again after 10 minute cameo...after 11 month on sidelines is literally the least surprising development I could have imagined.

His contract runs until end of next year, most likely we just end up paying the wages until then, and then release him. If we are super lucky, someone might take him for a handshake and a smile in summer window, but even that seems too optimistic. Him, Lo Celso and Ndombele came all in the same window. Clarke too. All of them have been utter failures for this massive price they arrived at.

I'd like it if we could find him a loan where he can play regular minutes and rehab himself. Unless Ange has some kind of special plan for him, there's just not going to be enough minutes to get back to where he needs to be.

He has played 38 league games for spurs . Probably pound for pound worse than ndombele
It’s not even close Tanguy is a much bigger disaster.

1. He’s on almost 4x the wages. Tanguy is our highest paid player at 200K quid/week! - higher than Sonny, Madders, Cuti and everyone else in the squad. Think about that for a second -it’s shocking. Sess is on 55K per week - A lot of money but a fraction of Tanguy’s wage.

2. Transfer fee for Tanguy was 55M - I think Sess was 25M.

3. Most importantly- Sess hasn’t been good enuf because of injury. Tanguy cause he’s lazy. I feel bad for Sess. He doesn’t chose to be injured. But I feel nothin but contempt for Tanguy cause he chooses to be lazy.

If by “worse”, you mean as a player - what they’ve produced for us. Then sure - Tanguy has much more God given talent than Sess - that’s why Levy gave 200K per week on a 6 year deal because he has the talent to be a world class player - which he is wasting not cause his body is letting him down (like Sess) - but because he can’t be bothered. Complete lack of respect for the club and the fans. Tanguy is a complete disgrace.

He is the antithesis of Udogie. Everything Destiny does is brave on the ball and aggressive both in and out of possession and that’s why he’s hugely better than sessegnon. They’re not similar at all.
Statistics are incredibly potent as a tool. But that's what they are, a tool. Nobody would trust you simply because you wielded a hammer, but with statistics some people would let you fuck their wife if you showed them it was statistically beneficial.

There's a crisis brewing in the sciences partially because of how powerful and simple statistical analysis had become. More and information is being produced by less and less skilled scientists (just on the basis of availablity). I've worked on a few publicized medical studies, both systemic reviews and clinical, and it's been really enlightening as to how the shiny exterior and academic valour is in reality paper thin.

In essence: the groundwork is terribly imprecise and then is made to look very pretty by a team of people who often don't know or understand the core material.

There is usually one competent person leading the entire thing, but they are so bogged down by trying to get grants and have their stuff published that they aren't really involved.

Deary me, I'm ranting again. Anyway... Sorry, Ryan, but you won't make it here. I have a study on your hammies with a p value of 0.001. Pack your stuff and the security will escort you out of the premises.

Great post!

I think he'll be out of the game within a year.
There's something seriously wrong with him and nobody is going to commit to paying him.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Tanganga go the same way. Neither of them can stay fit for more than a few weeks before yet another injury takes them out long term.

Sturrigge was the same at Liverpool, only playing when he felt 100%…
Most footballers are never at 100%, they just play through
