I don't think you should ever weaken two positions when you can just limit it to one.
It's also a matter of playing the same roles or not. None of our midfielders are classic DMs except Dier. Let's say we play Dembele in his place. It will be a different balance to the team.

When Dier was moved out of position plenty of people thought that but look at him now!
