Loan Update

Skipp and Eyoma complete 90 minutes each as Norwich draw and Lincoln win. Roles is an unused sub for Burton Albion. Parrott still injured at Millwall.

No way Dane Scarlett is a footballer.

Slightly past-it porn star maybe
I've heard he's got leadership potential

Can look after himself too

He's getting to be rather good.

Cost of not allowing any players to develop out of the academy (other than Winks) in 6 years and wondering why the top talents like Spurs u16 captain choose to go to a different club rather than join Spurs u18's
not a lot to show for 6 years of one of the best Training Grounds anywhere, and some super talent in that time. That's getting on for the sort of stats we were putting together in the really bad old days. At one stage it was about one good first teamer every 10 years.

Issue number 305 of the CIES Football Observatory Weekly Post ranks 80 top divisions worldwide according to the percentage of minutes by 21-year-old or younger players since the 2015/16 (or 2015) season. The lowest percentage among the five major European leagues was recorded in the English Premier League (7.1% of minutes), while the highest was measured in the French Ligue 1 (15.4%).

another estonian CB on trial at Spurs, the name is Erko Jonne Tõugjas and he is 17 year old. Has represented Estonia U-17 11 times so far. Can't say I know anything about him, except that he plays for 2nd tier club owned by former fartsenal GK Poom. They seem to have a good academy, just last week one 16 year old signed for Inter
best mates with the other guy we got last week?

Totally off topic, I did have a great 3-4 day break in Talinn just before Xmas a few years back. Airbnb with a sauna (!) just 10 mins walk from the old City part. V friendly peeps and the food was delicious. 2 feet of snow, Xmas markets......mmmmm

Trialing Omole (LB/CB/DM), born in 1999, today might make more sense for Spurs u23's as its likely that Cirkin, 2002 born, will either spend time with Spurs first team or on loan......and there aren't a lot of alternatives at LB in u23's, and the couple of options in Academy Year 2 are 'ok' and born in 2002 (so quite young to play u23's) rather than top prospects......so the next top prospect Jordan Hackett LB/CB born in 2004 is way too young for the next couple of years.

So Omole might just be LB cover for u23's whilst Cirkin is developed elsewhere.......or could he also be loaned out as part of a change in strategy to look at good prospects released by other academies ?

Skipp (DM) on loan at Norwich City, so far a fixture in all matches, MotM in his first.

Eyoma (RB/CB) on loan at Lincoln City started and completed all 5 matches (including v Liverpool) so far playing both RB and CB, on shortlist for MoTM once or twice

Parrott (striker) has started one for Millwall but think injured again.

Jack Roles (AM) came off bench for last 30 mins for Burton - first match he could have played in

Shilow Tracey on loan at Shrewsbury, No report I've seen, just joined on loan

No other official loans so far.

Thanks

Thanks, he signed on or about 21 September (reported by his Estonian club and various Estonian social media and fans on here) so not sure why delay in him putting on social media today/yesterday unless he only physically arrived in UK today/yesterday and he feels he has now arrived ! No official news from OS as yet - probably first hear when he plays in an u18 game.

There is also a 2nd Estonian defender who was on trial at Spurs a week or so ago, Erko Jonne Tõugjas, who we are awaiting news on.

BTW, u18's may have lined up in an unusual 3-5-2, shape usually 4231 but the players dont look right for that.

Think the players lined up (with wing backs of Lusala and Cassanova, who is a utility player) of :

Lo'Totula,
Lusala, Craig, Paskotsi, Hackett, Cassanova
Devine, John and Santiago
Whittaker, Scarlett
Not sure if OS report will clarify that for us.

A 4231 of this :

Lo'Totula,
Lusala, Craig, Paskotsi, Hackett,
Cassanova, John
Whittaker, Devine, Santiago
Scarlett

just doesn't feel right !

Worth summarising our recent u21 acquisitions (assuming the lack of 'Triallist' after their names mean they have signed permanantly - Ferguson on a one year contract per OS.

Keenan Ferguson - RB/CB. 20 later this month. Looked very very good as both CB and RB (best player for Spurs on the day), in a streamed match a month ago. Ex Sheffield United.

Marcel Lavinier - RB/CB - 20 in 2 months time. Left Chelsea (rightly) as he saw no future there with Reece James and Tariq Lamptey (now at Brighton) ahead of him.

Tobi Omole - LB/CB/DM - 21 in 2 months time. Formerly with Woolwich

All the above are, I think 6 footers which is the style of fullbacks that JM prefers (and maybe why KWP never stood much chance with JM ?)
It almost seems to be a case of:

Sign three FBs who fit Mourinho's desired characteristics

Hope one of them makes it
