You wouldn’t care how much it costs would you? I don’t either, you can guess why can’t you?
BECAUSE ITS NOT OUR MONEY
Well, actually, you could argue that it is our money that's been filling the clubs coffers. ENIC haven't put a dime in

If people want us to pay 80m for a 20 yr old defender with 1 good season in the top flight we might as well just pay 100m for De Ligt who is only 2 years older and has multiple seasons in the top flight at a high level. I would be way more excited for that signing
Good example ….. on caution

Deligt is good not great and was supposedly gonna redefine the art of defending

You haven’t updated for Bissouma and Peresic?

I am going to be the better person here and simply ignore you. But man there are some self righteous pricks on this forum

"Better man" calls others "self-righteous pricks" ?

You iz funny.

I don’t get Raphina to Woolwich.

He’s surely not going to start over Saka. Jesus up top. Can’t see saka or Raphina playing on left. Odegaard in the 10. Smith Rowe there or on left with Martinelli.
Not gonna include Pepe

Only thing that computes to me is Saka leaving

Saka to City for the combined cost of Raphina & Jesus to Woolwich

A few links to Hakan Çalhanoğlu from Inter Milan starting to emerge - Turkey's captain, can play as AM and CM, specialist free kick taker, has played almost 200 games for both Inter and AC Milan.

Supposed tier 1 Gooner ITKs apparently saying Raphina to them is nailed on
Kind of a shame, though gun to my head I do believe Richarlison is the more suitable player for our current needs. I fear Raphina (though I absolutely wouldn't turn him down) would simply be trying to compete with Kulusevski while I could see Richarlison being able to start in either Son or Kane's positions when required.

The scum's business is a little strange. Jesus was a no-brainer and will be a default starter (hence why he's settling for them) but I really don't see why they'd try for Raphina when they apparently hype Saka so highly and the money would be far better spent elsewhere on their team.

This. Also if Harry or Son get injured, we get a ready made premier league quality attacker in Richarlison ready to take their spot. He scored 11 goals in a dog shit relegation battling Everton last season. He single handily kept them up.

We also need to consider him as a good option at substitute across the front line should we need a different option playing against a side sitting deep. Not to mention that we will have the option of five subs next season.

If Conte wants him then we should put our money on the table. I don't care about what it costs anymore. It will cost the club and fans a shit load more if Conte walks because we baulked at a large fee.

We are either a big club or we aren't.
We are either a smart club or we aren't, as well.

Again, I've never seen this lad play and even if I had, my football scouting ability doesn't go much beyond "he kick ball gud". But the ramifications of buying extremely high on potential talent like this isn't simply a matter spending cash or not. If he bombs, we don't just write him off, it ripples throughout the team for the next few seasons. Unfortunately we're all too familiar with how shitty that can be. You'd want to minimize that risk as much as possible.

Big fee brings big expectations which can make or break a young player too.

It's all a very complicated maneuver. Could it pay off? Absolutely! If the football mad Conte rates him then I'm confident he's got what it takes. But is it the smartest move to make? I don't think so. Our recent bravado filled pragmatism is an exciting way forward. I'd be happy to stay on that track.
