Hindsight is always 20/20, pal.Ah yes Diaby. Everyone’s favorite melt last window. What a player.
Guess who had more PL goal involvements last season. Richy or Diaby.?

Low risk no return.Only way that happens is if they sell a stake in the club and put the money in
Tight cunts aren’t going to disrupt their cash cow all of a sudden after a 1/4 century of low risk bare minimum
Every manager can be backed and still not win because WINNING INVOLVES A LOT MORE THAN BEING BACKED.On an individual basis sure but if every manager is backed and none of them win, then what?
City have made it much more difficult to win things because they are backed by a nation state fir sure.
Liverpool still managed it though. If they spent Coutinho money on real quality like VVD, Allison, and Mane but we spread out the Bale money over 7 bang average players, which club back their manager?

It’s not that hard to understand. Back the manager until the cows come home and you won’t magically start winning against Man City or other clubs with much more means.
Lol@all the Richarlison talk.
We spent £50m on him with £10m in no doubt mythical add-ons like us winning something or him getting the Ballon d'Or.
We certainly didn't buy him twice at £60m a pop either, we bought him from a team up to their tits in FFP.
Johnson was £45m-ish (£10m due August 31, 2024, £10m due August 31, 2025, £12.5m August 31, 2026), Maddison was £40m (plus add-ons again and with Harry Winks going the other way for £10m). VdV was an initial fee of £34.5m (€40m) plus a potential £8.5m (€10m) in add-ons.
There's been plenty mistrust in this ownership for years. You make it sound as if it was all rosey and Levy was a God before WHL v2.0...our beautiful stadium which by the way cost us a heck of a lot more than shoulda done, but I guess that's another one that the big man gets a pass for from his cultists.
Let’s first acknowledge that Liverpool are a bigger, richer, more successful club than us in every way and have been for a very long time. Agree?
Winning is hardHere's the thing. If Levy does back his managers, which is the drum you keep banging, why do they all fail to win anything and end up getting the sack?

Next, Liverpool have won one league title by having a generational manager and every transfer for a couple of years being above expectations. Robertson, Salah, Mané became top players… Allison and van Dijk were excellent gambles (most expensive keeper and defender ever).
So a huge club got some luck - exceptional transfers and an elite manager in all at the same time - and still only managed one league title in 7 years.
So Klopp to Spurs would have seen us win things and Liverpool stay behind us?There’s no doubt in my mind that Poch held us back. Good man manager but tactically weak. Klopp is/was miles ahead of Poch.
And less important than expanding the property and entertainment portfolio off the back of our football club.

Winning on the pitch, or at least trying to win, is clearly a much higher priority for their owners than it is for ours15%ish higher wages to revenue percentage for Liverpool couldn't make a difference though of course.
So those successful gambles on Allison and Van Dijk played a part. Then we are agreed.
They spent the money they got from Coutinho on 2 elite level players for record level investments. We spent the Bale money on 7 players. There is a difference in model and mentality there.
You say they won 1 league title but you are being disingenuous because they also won a Champions League and plenty of other domestic cups.
Mane was set to come to Spurs, at the training ground and Levy refused to pay his wage demands. Rpbertson and Salah were transfers very much within our wheelhouse. If you swap Son for Salah we come out equal, Mane matched by Kane coming through, Robertson for Walker... pretty much every step of the way we matched up with them aside from VVD and Allison.
So Klopp to Spurs would have seen us win things and Liverpool stay behind us?
Of course but you’re speaking with hindsight. Nobody thought Salah would become the player he has… he was at fiorentina having failed in his first try in the PL. Every transfer has risk and luck involved and Liverpool were both skilful AND lucky. So those successful gambles on Allison and Van Dijk played a part. Then we are agreed.

Klopp would’ve won things at Spurs. No doubt. He’s a proven winner. Poch still hasn’t proven to be one.
Maybe because other teams exist...........Here's the thing. If Levy does back his managers, which is the drum you keep banging, why do they all fail to win anything and end up getting the sack?

Can I ask and I'd honestly love you to answer...Here's the thing. If Levy does back his managers, which is the drum you keep banging, why do they all fail to win anything and end up getting the sack?
