Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

All four Italian clubs progress.
AC Milan, Atalanta and Roma in EL.
Fiorentina in ECL.
Still think England will finish top of the co-efficients (But no idea if it’s weighted, ie more for CL games than Europa League/Conference etc).

We’ll certainly pull away from Germany, unless Bayern and Leverkusen both got to the final(s).

Just depends on the draws largely, from here.

It's not weighted (from this point on). Bonus points slightly weighted the levels in earlier rounds but not by much.

Taaa. Why on earth do Final winners not get points? Rhetorical, not expecting you to know, just a bizarre metric that losers get the same as winners, surely that should be the biggest point earner.

As I understand it the idea of the coefficient is to see which is the strongest league - so its weighted to how many clubs from any league get to group stages, last 16, Q/F etc.

So to that extent the 2 teams getting to a final attract points, rather than just a winner.

Its a logic - not saying its totally convincing but .......

So do you get the same amount of co-ef points for a win in the EL as you do in the CL?

Italy getting an extra CL spot whilst doing fuck all of note in the CL would be a massive fail and indictment of this process.
Actually it makes a lot more sense than you think. The nation whose clubs are doing better in the EL is proving in peer competition that its league is deeper with quality than its opponents and its 5th placed club is provably of nearer quality to the CL.

Having 4 good CL clubs doesn't mean your 5th place club should get in if your 5th place club is shit and flamed out of the EL. If you biased it towards CL points, the result of your algorithm wouldn't actually necessarily match up with the intent - giving the deepest leagues an additional spot.

Essentially, if a team from your association gets results in Europe, you get points: two points for a win, one for a draw. All points together make up a nation’s coefficient.

To keep things fair, this total is divided by the number of participating clubs from your nation.

That way, countries that get fewer tickets to Europe can still compete with nations that get more.

So I think you win the final you get 2 points? Loser gets none.
What throws us out a bit is we had 8 teams and United and Newcastle fucked up.

With five teams left in Europe, and three of those outside the UCL, England is firm favourites to get an extra place.

But the battle is far from over due to two England v Germany matches in the quarter finals :
Woolwich vs. Bayern Munich (UCL) and
Bayer Leverkusen vs. West Ham United (UEL).

With only 3 teams left in Europe, Germany really needs to win both their head to heads against English teams to stand a chance of getting that extra CL place

Woolwich and Man City would meet in the UCL semi finals if both won their quarter finals, so England's maximum coefficient is now reduced.

Other matches involving English clubs :
Villa v Lille (UECL)
Liverpool v Atalanta (UEL)
Real Madrid v Manchester City (UECL)

German clubs other match :
Atletico Madrid v Borussia Dortmund (UECL)

Confident but no idea if its weighted.

Love that energy

Honestly I think Bayern will beat Woolwich and Leverkusen will definitely beat West Ham as well.

Ultimately relying on Villa, Liverpool & City to do the business.
