Start Kane and son on the bench. The attackers haven’t played that many games so should be fresh enough to play. CM is the biggest problem with PEH. I think Tanguy is defo starting and he will offer some control. Who plays next to him is open but most likely sissoko as he didn’t start yday. If he does then he can’t hide and point for the ball to be played ABH. Defence if Aurier is fit he has to start . May see davies in CB again. We can’t take out all our main attacking threats so possibly 3 at the back and have reg and serge pushing forward with siss and ndombele in CM. Plenty of options I think but whoever plays they need to go out pumped out, press them and play with pace. Get the ball forward quick. Right attitude and we win even without Kane. Son less of a miss as he has looked out of sorts a bit.

Considering it was Kane who got an early minute against Palace, I think it’ll be something like this
[FORMATION=4231, Lloris, Doherty, Dier, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Lamela, Dele, Bergwijn, Kane][/FORMATION]

He only ever played RB with US, after being used in his official role, which we bought him for and which he had been ultimately trained for - CB.

He started out playing as an AM, then moved to DM and then was trained up as a dedicated CB.

I placed him at DM in my teams.

He was Loaned to Villareal and initially used as a CB (iirc).

Then used as a... wait for it... DM, until Capoue came in.

Now, apparently, being utilised at RB.

Labelling him a RB is dumb, but keep stretching if you must.

Haha. Don't ever change, thinkybaby.

Except for maybe all that "kissing rings and dickless pissing" business... but I digress.

Foyth joined Spurs in August '19 as a 19 year-old. 8 months removed from signing his first professional contract in Argentina for Estudiantes, who he played a grand total of 8 professional matches for before joining us (all at CB.).

Foyth's first appearance for Villarreal was as a RB substitute. He's started 2 matches at CB for Villarreal (both in Copa del Rey matches against lower division clubs).

Foyth was used as a stop-gap DM by Emery @ Villarreal (due to the injury of Coquelin) a total of 4 times. Once, in a Copa del Rey match against a 3rd division side, twice in December La Liga matches (where he was subbed off at halftime in both matches), and once in a February 2021 in La Liga home loss vs Real Betis.

In December 2020, Villarreal bought and directly inserted Capoue into the starting lineup as soon as he was eligible (afterJanuary 04, 2021.).

The majority of Foyth's starts and appearances for Villarreal have been at RB, including the last 2 La Liga matches (both losses).

For Villarreal this season, Foyth is 2nd choice RB, 4th/5th choice CB, and emergency/stop-gap DM.
And never... EVER try and out-think the thinky.

Foyth: "I started playing as an attacking midfielder but as time went by I grew taller, because I had been quite short, and maybe I lost a bit of the dribbling ability I had, and that's why gradually I was moved to a defensive midfielder and then I ended up as a central defender when I was 16..."
It is fairly common for youth or professional players (GKs aside) to play in multiple positions throughout their career, often in the same season, sometimes within the same match. Vinícius for example, was a CB as a youth player.

Foyth broke into the national team for the 2019 Copa America, where he played 4 matches for Argentina (including the 0-2 semifinal loss to Brazil).

I'll give you one guess what position he played for Argentina in all of those matches...

Begone now, foolish child.

If you ever approach me again, I expect you to bend the knee and kiss the ring, in earnest acknowledgement of my power and laud over you.

Though, dare not even speak the name of thinky if you refuse such concession.

Lest you be cast with the same brand as all others who have fallen at my feet, whimpering in defeat, yet refusing to cede to my might:

REEK.

Dickless and forever drenched in his own piss.

Looking forward to this one, we all want Champions League but there's no denying that whatever the competition, playing in Europe is so much fun to watch compared to the same teams over and over in the league.
