Jenas has been a shocking pundit for a while.
I mean, we literally beat his old club on the opening day of the season and played poorly. I think a big problem with Jenas is that he's in the wrong crowd when it comes to punditry. He's listening to all their bollocks all day every day and it's obviously rubbing off on him. He probably thinks Liverpool will win the league too.
All other pundits that played for and have supported their team for a couple of decades say they've never seen their team play badly but still win.
The odds are against that i feel.

Unbeaten records become a bit of a monkey on the back though. A draw only gives us a point. We drew too many last season early doors. It’s a blip & I’d rather be brave and go for wins, rather than maintain an unbeaten record with a series of safely played draws.
We were poor yesterday & yet I think we controlled the game, oddly enough, until we scored. Then it really turned to shit.
I’m still wondering if a fully firing Kane tries to square the ball to Lucas, or if he buries it left footed into the bottom left corner? At 2-0, it would have been very much game over imo

Maybe we did look but didn't find the right one. I don't think an out and out striker is what we need. If Son is around then he's more than good enough back up striker. Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, so a pure striker is going to find himself on the bench a lot.

On top of that their new keeper they broke records for is the kind that will make Lloris look an amateur, he lifted the World Cup yeah but this guy Alisson the real deal, comes from a long line of incredible Brazilian goalkeepers

To be fair. They have managed to dismantle a midfield two of Noble and Wilshere. Beat the 10 men of footballing giants Crystal Palace. Smashed English greats Brighton 1-0 and recently beat PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS Leicester away from home.

I don't understand the hysterics. I've used Liverpool, Chelsea and City as examples where there is competition for places. We can't buy anyone until January.
At the moment our first XI is drawn from about 15/16 fit players and everyone on this forum would choose approximately the same team.
Eriksen (and Kane and Dele) can play poorly and know they'll start against Liverpool.
If you think Winks or Lamela can substitute for Eriksen then you're deluded. He needs someone competing for his place to motivate him. Choose on performance not reputation (what a lot of our guys are resting on at the moment). Two sketchy wins against Newcastle and Fulham and a remarkable second half performance against United are papering over the inadequacy of our squad.
Let's hope no long term injuries or suspensions (or a combination) as we're in real trouble. Bringing on Rose in the last two minutes yesterday as an 'impact' sub, said it all to me. Woolwich brought on Mykhitaryan in the second half.
There is little competition and this is a direct function of our summer transfer activity. Pochetino hinted at it in one of his conferences yesterday.

You argue we have no depth or competition for places (and cunted off bulk of the squad in your haste). However, I repeat, you're seeing evidence of our depth right now; otherwise we'd be missing Sonny (and Lamela) like hell of a lot more whilst away and be suffering a far bumpier start to the season as a result.
Peel all the hyperbole away and you're simply bemoaning the fact we haven't thrown £60-70m a piece on our at our bench for like for like players. We aren't City. We don't get to spend mega-bucks on our reserves (nor does anyone from outside of Manchester!), nor can we afford the wages required to pacify that level of talent in such scenarios of limited game-time.

Personally I attribute Eriksen's subdued performances to the exact opposite of a lack of competition - I think he's been playing badly because he's unsettled over his contract renegotiations and is feeling a little bit undervalued by the club.
At no point in the past has he had serious competition for his place, so it's highly unlikely to have suddenly become an issue.
Pochettino's post match comments did not indicate a need for signings or disenchantment with the transfer window.
They completely and rightly talked of a lack of aggression, poor defending and overuse of the long pass, which was evident on a few occasions.
