I've got the week off. In Tenerife. I'll be on the beer by 10am I reckon. I'll probably be asleep by kick off.Thank god I have Monday off

I think the problem is that they play better as a unit. They're settled and each player knows their part. They're well-coached and they're doing well in the EL which will lift their spirits further.
We're still finding our feet. They're not going to give us the breathing space we had against Newcastle in the last 75 mins. It will most likely be like the first 15 mins for a sustained period and I do have doubts about our ability to soak up that pressure, not because of a lack of talent, but owing to the fact that we've been late to the table finding our best eleven and I'm not yet confident in Nuno's ability to spot a problem and correct it quickly enough.
They have lost Jesse which has maybe taken a bit of wind out of their sails, but they really do love beating us and I think they're mentally the tougher side. If everyone shows up we should be able to beat them, but I still have doubts about our players' ability to lift their heads when the pressure's really on.
Fingers crossed, but I'm more nervous for this one than the last two.
Well - I bloody hope so. But I don’t think you can deny they look a better outfit than us presently.
Some fans do care to be honest, which I am a bit bemused by, but most I know consider it like any other game. Personally, I only consider Woolwich and Chelsea as rivalries from the fan sense. I will say though, prior to covid, It was always comical to see a group of people 30 years behind the rest of society. "Adolf Hitler, he is coming for you" and the Nazi salutes from the away end to name a few instances. They seem to take particular exception to people with big noses, which they chant about to any poor sod walking past. They are a bueatiful club.https://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=181561&start=80

The fighting cock is actually hilarious, it’s just page after page after page of them talking about how they don’t care about us and it’s our cup final. Every single game we play them it’s the same on thereIts a pathetic debate anyway but it’s extremely funny how hard they have to convince themselves that they don’t see this is a rivalry.![]()
Get a grip, accept it’s a rivalry and try not to be c**** about everything your whole life. Genuinely I’d say 90% of spurs fans I’ve met are utter c****.
—-/-
Oh do shut up pikey!!!! And for the record, 99.9% of Westham fans are absolute scumbag Cunts too!!! You are all anti Semitic and racist bastards!!! You are also obsessed with Spurs. No Spurs fan gives a shit about you, so stop pretending we do. We want to win purely to throw it back in you’re face as you hate us that much. It’s a normal game for us. You want to win because the Spurs game is your season, that is the difference. Twat!!!
Lot of my yid mates hate them with a passion but they share areas with them in east end/Essex waySome fans do care to be honest, which I am a bit bemused by, but most I know consider it like any other game. I can guarantee they will take this comment as somehow accepting their rivalry but hey ho, I know I am being honest.

This I probably the first Spurs - Spam game in a long while where they are in better form and probably favourites. My god how far we have fallen.
Last 3 years?
The season before last they finished 16th...... The year before that 10th.
We currently sit above them.
They have happened upon a decent team but their 'rise' is very much being overstated by you and some others.
I'm not suggesting for a moment that tomorrow won't be a tough game. I just don't see the need to overplay them (or downplay us)....
Even last year - despite the fact that we were in a low moment and they are at their very best of the modern era - they finished just 3 points and one position above us for the first time in 19 (20?) years yet people insist on painting it as if they are another plain.
They're not; they're just in a good place compared to whats typically expected of them.
Meanwhile we - the 5th richest club in the league - are currently sat 5th.
Our first XI are better than theirs, now that Nuno has weeded out the problem players from it. The more often they play together the better..... if it's going to be Deir Romero as CBs, they need to gel a bit better as a pairing. This I probably the first Spurs - Spam game in a long while where they are in better form and probably favourites. I think Rice, Zouma and Fornals make our team, with Antonio being really good too so would probably play him off the right instead of Lucas/Bergwijn even though it's not his favoured role.
Possibly Rice agreed and Zouma. Wouldn’t take anyone else mate. Antonio would be our sub striker and a great sub he would be, but no way is he getting in ahead of Harry or Son. Like you say, he doesn’t play in Lucas position, so he would be a bench player. Man for man we are 100% better than Westham. Team spirit and commitment is where they can win the game. On quality alone, we win if we turn up

Soucek is also a nightmare to play against due to his aerial prowess & work rate, but not sure he'd get in ahead of our own work horse in Hojbjerg. Neutrals probably go for Soucek.
I also think Cresswell or Reguilon is more than a debate than some here will admit. 2 assists vs 8 in the league last season for two primarily attack minded fullbacks .. not exactly good reading.
Just that. I hate Chelsea the same way that I hate City, but for a club I truly hate and consider rivals, it's always that scum in bold. As for West Ham, I just want to beat them because of how much it means to them, but they think they're our biggest rivals, that's how thick they are...Personally, I only consider Woolwich and Chelsea as rivalries from the fan sense.
The thing with Fornals & Antonio is you're talking about players that have struggled for one reason or another whom are now just enjoying a nice run of form. Who'd you drop for the former btw?
Antonio has scored double figures in each of his last two Premier League seasons, and (I believe?) that's not with penalties .. so it isn't just form.
He also has 5 this one so looks set to easily hit double figures for 3 years in a row.
Fornals has had 2 solid premier league seasons in a row as well.
Ndombele, probably. I believe he has far more talent but we can only currently go off what he's showed for the last couple of seasons. If he can put up performances like the Newcastle one remotely consistently he's miles ahead though.
