AVB swapped of Sandro for a less defensive midfielder, then swapped wings away from the inverted wingers, swapped out the number 10 role and then switched to 4-4-2.

I'd call that plan B, C, D and E.

Yet none of it worked and the only shot e had from inside the box was a slightly dubious penalty

That's besides the point. You stated that teams know that AVB has no plan B, but clearly he tried multiple different looks to try to unlock Hull... mixed results sure, but at a certain point the players have to accept some of the responsibility for not getting it done.

Looks like the Ledley getting escorted from a nightclub pic:king:

Can anyone name a game this season that we've convincingly bossed besides Norwich? I don't just mean dominated possession because the opposition are sitting back and allowing us to squeeze ourselves into a deadlock, a game where we've actually looked dangerous?

I just don't think with £100m spent it's good enough. Fluke cross-goals/penalties shouldn't be the factors we're relying on to win these games.

No point having a plan b that doesnt work..he made the only logical subs and changes he could considering the gameplan he started with.

Basically been tactically outwitted by Big Sam and Steve Bruce in our two last home games

With the options we have what "non-obvious" changes would you have made that AVB didn't try today?

As I said before the game and got slated for, I would have started Eriksen or Siggy ahead of Holtby. Id have also played the AM further forward than the halfway line.

Id have kept the wingers wide and whipped in crosses to Soldado, and had the AM driving forward.

I also dont see the point of taking off Lennon and then going 442.

Sounds basic to me, but maybe thats the problem with modern football. Have to be a hypster

I would've started Eriksen too, but I also am not privy to what is seen during practice, so I have no problem with Holtby being picked. AVB did change this in the 2nd half.

I thought we looked much more threatning with the inverted wingers than we did when we swapped them, but from both sets we actually put a decent amount of crosses in even if many of those were from the fullbacks. Either way, this change was also a change that AVB did at the halway point.

Lennon came off because he clearly didn't have the legs for it, even said as much himself in a post-game Tweet.

So basically AVB made the same changes you would've made except too late??? There are a lot of things to not be happy about in regards to today's game, but to throw this on AVB not having a "plan B" is pretty offbase.

People always say something like this when it suits them.

If Lloris was rested for Brad, would you say that its ok because we dont see what happens in training?

I wouldnt, Id criticise the decision
