-Defense has not improved
-16th for Chance creation in the league and placed 69th for chance creation across all 5 leagues
-45 goals in 30 matches
-Over 250m spent still a bareboned lacklustre squad
-Cannot cope with injuries
-Cannot cope with adversity during a match
-League finishes 8th,8th and now most likely 6th.

It's been 2.5 years has there been any improvement in our overall play?
Do we dominate and put lesser teams to the sword 3/4-0?
When we come up against the Top 6 do we actually compete or fold?

I'm just listing these points to try and understand what the argument for keeping him on is.

All pretty damning but it's the "16th for chance creation in the PL".

That is really shocking, that means that teams like Palace? Brighton? Saints? Maybe even Brentford!! are creating more chances than this rabble. Crazy that they're still in the mix for CL spot.

Yes.

Think he done as a player. He's never matched the levels he was in Germany, a totally different player here, absolutely zero work off the ball, his pace has gone.

Martinelli offers the team way, way more (he's nowhere near mature enough in front of goal, so this will take time as it has with say Harvey Barnes) but the dynamic of the team is better. The reason why nothing is working for them offensively is Arteta's tactics, they are good in low/mid-blocks but shit when having to drop the block in search of a goal, midfield can't deal with transitions + Lacazette is shite.

It's a no brainer for Barca, he was free.

Woolwich did fuck up not selling him though, I think they got way too greedy, they could have got a massive fee once if they sold him to China.
absolutely no way was it a good idea for them to let Aubameyang go in the January window.

Aubameyang is the sort of player that can suddenly go on an amazing scoring run that would have absolutely helped them at the tail end of the season.

Right now their number 1 striker is going through the worst goal drought known to mankind and the substitute forward can't score either.

If they really wanted Aubameyang out they 100% should have brought someone in. Thankfully Arteta has an ego the size of the solar system so he let players like Saliba , Guendouzi and Aubameyang leave.

Fixed that for you.

tRuSt ThE pRoCeSs. That’s what I hope the Kroenke’s do.

They have bought a number of would-be world class players - Sanchez, Ozil, Auba and Lacazette - for a stack of cash and lost them for nothing. I can’t remember the last time they sold a player for a good profit over what they paid. Overmars?

They should have sold him 2 or 3 seasons ago and collected a few to be reinvested.

Sure they should have replaced him, they fucked themselves going after a completely unattainable player.

But that’s not the point.

He, and other players like him, kill a dressing room. They are there for themselves not the team, they are wankers. The game is a team sport, really easy to forget this when so much attention is on the individual, in fact 95% of media coverage is on the individual (from owners to CEO’s to scouts, to coaches to the players. Practically nothing is communicated about the team. I. Today’s game you’re apparently no good if YOU haven’t won a trophy!!! Wilshire fanboys jump to his very defensive by sighting his 2 FA Cup’s, when the reality is he barely played in both seasons games let alone even in the finals).

If you have a player that’s fucking with the team culture the manager is trying to instill then the team isn’t going to achieve its goals.

One of the biggest issues at Woolwich is their culture, it’s been the case for nearly two decades now. They’ve been infested with absolute self centered wankers.

He undermines everything the manager is doing, if he’s not onboard then he should be gone.

By all means they’ve fucked up this whole thing, the comparison to how Poch binned off Adebayor is night and day. So this isn’t an Arteta love in he’s made his own errors, but there’s no place for arseholes in a team environment that’s trying to create a zero arseholes culture, no excuses, no exceptions should or can be tolerated.

What did he do? Miss training a couple of times, turned up late to team meetings, how naughty...hardly along the lines of doing an interview professing his love for his former club begging for them to sign him (Lukaku), or refused to come on as a sub in a match for example (Tevez) , much more dickish things worthy of cancellation.

There's no denying that and they were well within their right to let him go but you can only really stand by that decision if a) you have a replacement to bring in or b) Your team is capable of scoring goals or at least replacing the goals he would have scored.

Neither of these things were or have become apparent.
Shay...what about the watch along with the brother on a crack pipe firing a gun. And laughing his head off? He was club captain. I'd have cancelled his contract immediately.

Bless them. They actually think they'll finish 6th.

Would love West Ham, Man U and Wolves to overhaul them. Can you imagine the scenes if they are overtaken by those lot, like the fat wheezy kid in the last lap of the school 1500m. And them finishing 8th for the third season in a row, having boldly declared they were nailed on for fourth … well, that would be too much #trusttheprocess

It’s all down to arteta’s horrendous man management. How many players has he embarrassed or ostracised since he’s been there? Must nearly be in double figures.

It’s all well and good getting players out if you think they are trouble, but if you do, you have to have someone to bring in. You can’t make the squad weaker. Arteta has zero personality or charisma and so would struggle to get the best out of players. I bet when he’s sacked he struggles to get another top level job. Man management is 60% of the game and he’s useless at it.

He probably saw Pep do it one time but wasn't sure as the cones were spread over the far side of the training pitch and he was gone a while collecting them.
