A post from Alistair Gold (journo)

Good afternoon people,

As some of you noticed I popped down to the stadium today. Really seems to be a focus on the paving outside the west and south-west of the stadium right now. Loads of workers in concentrated groups working on it.

For those interested, here's a direct link to a gallery of 65 photos from around the place: https://www.football.london/tottenha...atest-15193309

And here's me walking around, mute me so you don't have to hear my uneducated waffle. https://www.football.london/tottenha...sting-15192839

Here's a shorter Twitter vid, without my stupid face in it. https://twitter.com/AlasdairGold/sta...56303348645889

Hope something in there is a help.

Cheers,

Alasdair

Only new info I've not seen before is half a dozen pics from no 31 onwards which show paving to access stairways to south podium from the south are probably one or two weeks behind the paving to the west side of the stadium.

Very, very true..with this mob in charge we can never believe a single word that comes out between those lying little mouths....

I completely agree, but I don’t blame the club for lying. I’d do the same if I was in their position.

I know ITK is widely ridiculed on here, but there was a guy on COYS who rarely posted, but when he did it was essentially gospel. When Modric was sold he said that part of the contract involved inflated prices for Bale’s transfer a year later, and it played out exactly as he said it would.

I don’t believe anything the club says, but I wouldn’t expect anyone to anyway. They’re a clever business playing the game.

I'm struggling to think of a single construction project, especially in an English City with the nightmare of ancient planning regulations, that has EVER been delivered within budget and on time.

We keep hearing this, however I can't actually think of a stadium that wasn't ready when it was supposed to be

Yeah, I should have said league team. Wembley's slightly different as England matches, finals, play offs, rugby league stuff etc can all be played elsewhere for a further season without complaints of "when will we go home?"
Pretty sure the Emirates was late too, but nobody remembers things like that because their situation was completely different to ours.

Most teams still have their old stadium to play in while the new one is built in a different location. CAn't remember anyone building a new stadium on the same site like we are.

Are we going by just England?

If not the New Mestalla has to be up there
