There’s the possibility that football in Bulgaria could be postponed from November 27th, as new rules are being brought in to combat the spread of Covid-19 in the country.

Tema report the BFU are urging the government to go easy on football, worried about the impact any cancellations may have, yet restrictions are expected.

Covid-19 could also have an impact on Tottenham’s Thursday match, with Bulgaria’s SportLive reporting there’s worry Ludogorets ‘cannot complete their squad’ for the match.

Olivier Verdon and Georgi Terziev have tested positive, and there could be more on the way. Those two players are central defenders, as is Josue Sa, who is injured.

It was hoped there’d be some clarity today on who is actually able to travel to England, although that hasn’t appeared yet, and at this stage it could be a case of waiting to see who flies to London on Wednesday morning.

Hart
Tanganga Sanchez Dier Davies
Winks Lo Celso
Bale Lamela Lucas
Vinicius
- If fully fit, Tanganga needs minutes and Aurier needs resting for Chelsea
- Sanchez in for Toby
- Davies for Reggie
- Dier probably starts as I can't see Jose trusting Sanchez and Davies and certainly don't think he would play those two with Cirkin at LB so that would mean another game for Reggie which would be a bad choice.
- Winks and Lo Celso come in for Sissoko and PEH
- Lamela/Dele in for Ndombele depending on fitness
- Bale back in
- Lucas in
- Big Vin to get his first goal

Then the same starting XI as Saturday for the Chelsea game. Hopefully none of them need to play a part on Thursday (except Dier).

Hart
Tanganga - Sanchez - Dier - Davies
Sissoko - Winks - Lo Celso
Bale - Vinicius - Lucas
2-0

Need to rest key players for Stamford Bridge. Can't afford Aurier picking up an injury with Doherty out for that game. Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Kane and Son all get deserved rests too after the mammoth performances they just put in and Bale gets some more minutes under his belt too.
And Dier. He’s played loads and we cant afford him getting injured now.

If football would be postponed in Bulgaria, then what is about their final 2 games if they get the go ahead with this game?

Rules are pretty clear -

Clubs are obligated to play if they have 10 or more cases but are still able to field a 13-man roster (including a goalie).

If clubs do not have 13 or more players, it will be permissible to find more players not mentioned on the submitted roster to start the season for both the Euro League and Champions’ League.

If they fail to find 13 then they will forfeit the match and lose 3-0.

If they have enough players, but the government orders to cancel football, then what? Imagine a club had already been qualified for next round.

UEFA allow teams to play in neutral countries, it's already happened a few times. In this case as Ludogorets can't qualify if they forfeit Thursday's game, then they might just as well forfeit the last two also, depends if the cost of playing at neutral venues is more than the will get from UEFA.

While i've been looking forward to watching Spurs on my US Thanksgiving holiday, getting a forfeit win in this match would be hugely beneficial.

Rest for the entire squad going into the Chelski match would be very nice. And a free 3 points in any competition is helpful.

Only downside is that guys like Bale and Vinny need some more run. And I still hold out (fading) hope that Dele gets time in one of these and actually turns his Spurs career around before he is shipped off in Jan.

Anyone know when they'll have a decision?
