Winks has got his flaws for sure, shouldn't be a first choice starter if Mourinho would come to his senses and switch to a CM3 with PEH, GLC and Ndombele, but this silly bollocks about pack passing isn't one of those flaws. He's got the lowest back pass percentage of any of our midfielders (to be fair Ndombele has been mostly playing as a ACM so has a lot more pitch behind him but still...) no prizes for guessing who's by far the worst candidate for passing backwards (the only one more than forwards) and abysmally failing to pass forwards...

How the fuck is it possible for a guy playing CM in deeper areas to make so much less percentage of passes forwards than guys like Ndombele and Lo Celso who have often been playing as AM's or as mire advanced players and have had much less pitch in front of them. The backwards bunt genius that is Sissoko...
