Not really Mourinho's 1st fa cup game was it , he is an experienced manager No ? Fa cup game against Norwich this season mattered and tactically we were awful ,parked the bus against relegation fodder ..
& he looked out of his depth against red bull too.

What is the actual value of an FA cup win compared to having the best stadium and biggest club shop in the world??

Some people need to get their priorities straight. Who cares about trophies? It’s not about that is it??

You can buy our elite shirt for 155 dollars and free shipping to the US.

Or just £100 in the UK.

If you don’t buy one of these shirts can you even call yourself a true Spurs fan??

To Dare is to buy ...... or something or other.
Gooners can celebrate all they like but deep down they are lusting over our world class training facilities & accounting skills.

I

I asked the questions before I insulted you. You chose to ignore the questions because you admitting poch wasn't good enough is against you law as a poch fanboy
I didnt answer your questions because you replied to mine with a question. Then you insulted me so of course I didnt answer.
If you apologise then I will answer. If not then I won't. Its you who keeps trying to have conversations with me all the time.
I am happy if we never spoke again.
Remember, you always reply to one of my posts that aren't directly to you. I never reply to one of your indirect posts.
You gotta wonder why you want to keep engaging with someone who you have polar oppositive views with.

Why does he need crazy money. Is that Woolwich team better then our team that lost the 2 f.a cup semis. He never learned and tactically was not good enough to get the job done
Easy money beats no money every day..

But I get your point, the bottom line is no matter how good Poch was, or how bad he was, or how “ok” he was depending on your perspective no manager is really ever responsible 100% for a team winning, not even Sir Alex....and yes it’s isn’t always about crazy amounts of money either, but what every manager needs is top quality in key positions, those positions change a little based on how a manager wants to set up, but the principle is still the same....
If your defence is shit then you buy top quality defenders. If your midfield is short then you buy a top quality midfielder, so on so on.....
Poch had one truly breathtaking season 16/17, but that team wasn’t hard to coach, it was 8 or 9 players reaching their peak, with a worldie in Kane braking through.....that’s when the guy should have been backed!!

You think one summer of spending a reasonable amount for a top 6 team makes up for the previous 3 years of utter neglect?

Didn't we break our trf record in 17/18 too..... ?

....Add to him Serge, Lucas, Llorente, Foyth, Gazzaniga = 100m+

"Utter neglect".... Drama queen.

You were told we'd spend less whilst the stadium was being built..... No-one lied to you. Get over it.

Wow what a shit day. I find it frankly amazing that these guys have won the FA Cup and it just goes to show how unlucky we’ve been. They’ve won it more time’s in the last 6 years then we have in 50, despite us having a better team during that period. Let that sink in. So who’s had a better season then? Easy, Woolwich. They win a cup and straight into the group stages of the Europa next season.

Get us a trophy Jose, it’s beyond ridiculous at this point.

They’ve won it 9 times in the 27 years of the EPL era starting in the inaugural EPL season of 1993. Prior to that, over the previous 120 years, we held the record of 8 wins.

When you throw in 7 wins for Chavs, 5 wins for Man U, that’s 21 wins out of 28 between 3 clubs in EPL era. It’s a greatly devalued tournament now because nearly all sides in the top two leagues are trying to tank out of it and are fielding reserve teams up to semi final.

Having said that, a club of our size should be able to negotiate earlier rounds and then have a serious tilt at winning it at the business end.

we haven’t been unlucky - we’ve appeared in 8 FA Cup semi finals since we last won it in 1991 and have lost all 8. That’s just utterly shit, Spursy. Woolwich have won 9 of their last 10 FA Cup Finals. The one they lost to the Bin Dippers in 2001, they were leading with 5 or 6 minutes to go.

Prices have risen dramatically since 2016 most clubs have broken their transfer record over the last few years.

So most clubs are "utterly neglected" then?

Just happened that was the summer we sold Walker for £50m.

Aye... And you seem just like the kind of guy that would pretend that Joe Lewis pocketed the cash from that deal.

I'll ask you like I ask many...

....How much is in this secret pot of money that you're convinced we have but won't spend?
.....Can you show me it anywhere on the company accounts?

No secret pot of money i'm not 'that sort of guy' whatever that implies. Its just spend what we earn from transfers, 1 in 1 out. There is no real investment other than that. We ask top dollar for outgoings which holds up our transfers every summer.

Really? 100m on new players during a stadium build is common place is it? LOL

Then I'll stick with calling you a drama queen then.

The final? ....One could argue that, yes.

I agree about scouting systems, but don't give me that shit - You were openly moaning about lack of investment in your previous posts.

Debate in good faith or don't bother.
There is a lack of investment but that doesnt mean spending stupid money on every player, the 2 aren't muturally exclusive. I'm debating in good faith you're the one with the insults. Again i think the highest paid CEO should have a better transfer policy in place. If he has a blinding summer in the market i'll hold my hands up , the problem is we have too many fans that if we have another crap one will never admit it.

I think we can all agree this thread is aids! I even posted before it should be ended and now look what has happened! Admin Admin please do the honourable thing and lock this thread

Now that's some revisionism. Where did all the "the stadium will pay for itself, it won't impact our ability to spend... quite the contrary!" posts go? I mean that's what we were told for years.

I'm not senile. I do remember what was said 2 years ago unfortunately.

My overall argument hasn't changed. I've made a number of comments to refute the notion of "utter neglect".

The comment you refer to (verbatum) was incorrect..... Sure, I'll concede that.

... However, I don't think we have significantly contradicted Levy's pledge as the belt tightening was already in action and we continued to wheel and deal and 'look for value' in a manner we had before. Sure, Neymar, Coutinho and 1 or 2 other deals hugely inflated the market, but we weren't splashing big money prior to 2016.

Any dip in spending spending felt negligible.... Especially as the whole 5 years of low net spend meme would effectively date between 14-19.

...So what really changed during that time frame?
Come off it mate. He said it in 2016 so spending window should surely be something like 12-16? Not the 16-18 when we spent literally 0.

I am not saying you are wrong about anything else. Just this one thing: you claimed he never said it would affect spending. He CLEARLY did as I quoted you two separate occasions (16 and 19). Just admit it please.

Jokes on them, our CEO pays himself more than their CEO!

12 years FFS, when you think about it the sad reality hits that's we're not a serious club.....we don't even get anything about trophy droughts from the media as the last 25 years has been awful and we're not even taken seriously by them.

Actually it’s 29 years because our last two trophies apparently don’t count and are meaningless.

I’ve even heard the same about the FA Cup so we are talking 1984 really

:mourfacepalm:
