12.30 kick of on a Saturday after 3 games in 7days is a fucking piss take. Teams in other countries actually get help from their fa but we're just governed by sky and bt it's a fucking disgrace. Could give everybody until the sunday and just play all games then.

I can't believe we're not even 4 games into the season about to play a must-win match and we're piecing together a starting 11 from scraps and filling out our bench with youth players. This is pathetic

You know who is pathetic ? - You.

It takes someone so absolutely sad and worthless to come just blatantly bitch about the situation when we are only team in the league with perfect record so far. Not only have we won all games but also conceded 0. And you come out and call this situation "pathetic"?!?

At the same time teams like Liverpool will also miss out using Fabinho, Allisson and Firminho. There are others who are missing.
Times are such. What is your whole point? Every club in EPL would be weakened if player like Son would be injured.

Btw, in what possible way is that "must-win match"?!?! It is freaking 4th game of the season. We sit on top of the table. Of course we want to win this game, as we want to win every game. Cause you know, 3 points and all. If that is meaning of "must win game" then we have literally 38 must-win-games. And it totally devalues the point of it.

Well the next time Brazil call up players they’ll likely be released by the clubs
I guess by doing so, the clubs will know that the Brazilian FA will impose the ban again next time. So they may be incentivised to release the players for international duty.

Explain the logic here, guys...

I mean even after getting this 5-day-ban imposed, it will mean still that their player will be available sooner than when they would have gone through the quarantine period. PLUS likelyhood of them getting injured while remaining at club is also smaller. Plus it is still tiring to travel to South-America and back vs staying at home in your comfy training base. Plus you can train together with your club teammates.

So if alternative is 5-days ban or letting players to international side - the 5-day ban is still obviously preferable. So even if it is imposed, I can't see how it would keep clubs from not releasing their players in the future.

Oliver Skipp - hoping to be fit, but to be assessed

Steven Bergwijn finished the Netherlands' win over Turkey on Tuesday with an ice pack on his left foot and could also be assessed before Thursday afternoon's training session.

Heung-min Son will also be assessed later on Thursday after returning to the UK on Wednesday night having suffered a calf injury on international duty with South Korea.

Could do with as many back as possible - but shouldn't play if there are any risks. If they can start, great, but might be sensible to sub them before end of game ?

totally get your point. FWIW not every team is weakened, those with less top internationals will have had two weeks rest and extra training as a group. For this reason it will be one of the harder games of the season IMHO

They have loathed every second of the last fortnight with us top of the league. The longing from SKY/talkshite is intense for a Palace win. The Daily mail spent two weeks writing spurs in crisis stories hoping folk would not check the table.

Palace seem to be banking on Benteke turning into what he looked like becoming at Villa.

With them having a bit of pace out wide I guess our narrow defence means we will mainly have to deal with crosses. The Palace midfield looks like it is mostly a defensive block rather than creating much.
I'm going to miss Woy!
