Naive and stupid. Thanks. So the 25 years of active competitive football that I played taught me nothing did it ?Nonsense. A few degrees either way on the angle, or a few centimetres difference in where he connects etc, can all have a huge impact on the result. Sometimes you see player do something incredibly dangerous, and get lucky with no one being hurt, another time someone will do something relatively innocuous and someone will get badly hurt. Sorry but that statement you've made there is really naive / stupid.
"It was reckless and the perpetrator got his just deserts- move on" - this I do absolutely agree with. The lad doesn't seem like a thug at all, but what he did was dangerous and he needs to learn not to do it (which I believe he has said he intends to - learn from it I mean).
Actually- it really did, I took plenty of kicks to the shin and as I said, still have some bloody impressive scars to prove it, so I'll thank you to keep your patronising remarks to yourself thanks. I might not have played at that level but I think you will find that one thing that is pretty much a great leveller is a badly timed tackle and full set of studs to the shin.
PEH took the tackle, but seems to have been more pissed off about the comments that were said subsequently. Some of the comments on here are just laughable, probably by fat kids that have probably only played the game on a play station.
